Each 'Game of Thrones' season eight episode to run longer than 60 mins

"Game of Thrones" director David Nutter has revealed that all six episodes in the upcoming season of the hit HBO show will have runtime of over an hour. The first episode of the eighth and final installment of the epic fantasy series is directed by Nutter. He will also helm three other episodes. The director dished the details in a Reddit AMA, IndieWire reported. "Season 8 episodes will all I think be longer than 60 minutes. They'll be dancing around the bigger numbers, I know that for sure," Nutter said. Last July, "GOT" sound designer Paula Fairfield had said that the eighth season could have feature-length episodes. Nutter is famous for directing the third season episode "The Rains of Castamere", which featured the infamous Red Wedding. He also won an Emmy for fifth season finale, "Mother's Mercy".

Michael B Jordan clarifies comments about black mythology

Actor Michael B Jordan had created quite a stir when he made remarks about lack of black mythology and the "Black Panther" star has now clarified those comments. The 31-year-old actor told Vanity Fair last month that black community "don't have any mythology, black mythology, or folklore". The comments, however, did not go well with many on the social media. Jordan has now clarified his remarks, saying that such stories are not presented in the cinema. "I meant we don't have black mythologies and folklore that's on the big screen and small screen, period," he told GQ. "And I want to help bring those to the masses, the same stories, bedtime stories, that I was being told of Anansi the Spider and the story of Hannibal and Mansa Musa and all these historical figures!" Jordan added. The actor is currently waiting for "Creed II" which will hit the theatres in the US on November 21.

Senior journalist Prannoy Roy will come out with a book early next year which seeks to demystify the general elections and answer critical questions on electoral politics. The yet-to-be-titled book is based on psephology, original research and undisclosed facts. Lost Disney film showing Mickey Mouse's predecessor found in Japan

When Yasushi Watanabe bought a cartoon film decades ago as a high school student in the Japanese city of Osaka, he had no idea he was purchasing animation history. But the modest reel he bought for just 500 yen ($4.40 in today's money) has been revealed as a rare lost cartoon produced by Walt Disney featuring a character that led to the creation of Mickey Mouse. The discovery was reported by Japan's Asahi Shimbun daily, which Watanabe contacted after reading a book about the history of "Oswald the Lucky Rabbit", the character Disney created in the 1920s. While Disney created the character, complete with oversized ears and a button nose, he lost the rights to another company, prompting him to develop a new cartoon figure: Mickey Mouse. The book said seven of the 26 short films featuring Oswald that Walt Disney produced were missing, and Watanabe remembered his childhood reel. HC restrains 42 cable, net service providers from showing Tamil film

The Madras High Court has restrained 42 cable and Internet service providers from screening the Tamil film 'Kaatrin Mozhi' scheduled to be released on November 16, on a suit filed by the producer. Justice M Sundar on Wednesday granted the interim injunction on a suit filed by Creative Entertainers, the film's producer. Listing 42 cable and Internet service providers, the producer said he apprehended that once the movie was released, acts of piracy would commence and websites would illegally copy, record, reproduce and communicate the copyright protected work to the general public. Vijayan Subramanian, counsel for the producer, said the producer has invested substantial money in the film's production and it was scheduled to be released in more than 250 screens worldwide including Chennai. The producer has acquired all exploitation and distribution rights including theatrical rights, music rights, other rights including TV, Internet, digital and home video and all rights were exclusive,
