Actor Salma Hayek has come aboard the cast of Paramount Pictures comedy "Limited Partners". The 52-year-old actor joins Tiffany Haddish and Rose Byrne in the Miguel Arteta-directed feature, reported Deadline. Haddish, 38, and Byrne, 39, are portraying best girlfriends who build a successful company, only to find their bond tested when a big buyout offer comes their way. The script has been penned by Sam Pitman and Adam Cole-Kelly, and the film will start shooting next month. Peter Principato, Italy Reiss and Joel Zadak are producing, with Nicolas Stern executive producing.
"Deadpool" star Ryan Reynolds is all set to play the lead in sci-fi comedy "Free Guy". The film will be directed by Shawn Levy, best known for helming "Night at the Museum" series and executive producing hit Netflix show "Stranger Things". The story, penned by Matt Lieberman, follows a background character who realizes he is living in a video game. With the help of an avatar, he tries to prevent the makers of the game from shutting down his world. Reynolds, 41, will also produce the project under his banner Maximum Effort, along with Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, reported Deadline. The actor, who most recently starred in "Deadpool 2", is currently shooting for Michael Bay's "6 Underground" for Netflix. He is also lending his voice for Legendary's "Pokemon: Detective Pikachu".
Actor Kevin Spacey has been sued for allegedly sexually assaulting a masseur at a house in Malibu, California, two years ago. According to Deadline, a lawsuit filed at Los Angeles Superior Court states that the actor, who is being investigated by police in the US and UK over alleged sexual assaults, attacked the unnamed masseur in October 2016. "Spacey assaulted and battered plaintiff by forcing plaintiff to touch his scrotum, testicles, and penis, grabbing plaintiff's shoulders and pulling him in for an apparent attempted forced kiss, and grabbing plaintiff's genitalia," the complaint filed by a John Doe masseuse read. "During these assaults, plaintiff repeatedly asked Spacey to allow him to leave, but Spacey blocked access to the door with his naked body," the 11-page paperwork also said of the incident.
