Marvel artist Marie Severin passes away
Marie Severin, an American comic artist and colorist, who was best known for her work in Marvel Comics and the 1950s' EC Comics, has passed away. She was 89.Her death was announced on Facebook by her longtime friend and former Marvel staffer Irene Vartanoff, confirmed The Hollywood Reporter.Severin was working on Wall Street when her brother John, also an artist who worked for EC and Marvel, needed a colorist for his work there. Marie Severin's earliest recorded comic-book work is coloring EC Comics' A Moon, a Girl... Romance #9.Severin won the Best Penciller (Humor Division) Shazam Award in 1974. Chris Hemsworth to star in 'Dhaka'
Australian actor Chris Hemsworth is all set to star in action-thriller 'Dhaka' that also marks the directorial debut of Sam Hargrave.Written by Anthony Russo and Joseph Joe Russo, collectively known as the Russo brothers, the story of the film revolves around a mercenary named Rake, played by Hemsworth who is hired to save the son of a businessman.The movie will go on floors in November and will continue till March 2019 in locales in India and Indonesia, as per The Hollywood Reporter.Hemsworth reprised his role as Thor in 'Thor: Ragnarok' released in November last year and again in both the third Avengers film, 'Avengers: Infinity Wars'(2018), and its untitled sequel, scheduled for 2019 release.He was originally going to reprise his role as George Kirk in the fourth film of the rebooted Star Trek series, but he left the project in August 2018 after contract negotiations fell through.

France's biggest international star Gerard Depardieu on Thursday issued a strong denial after it emerged he faces an inquiry into allegations by a young actress of rape and sexual assault. Depardieu "absolutely denies any attack, any rape", his lawyer Herve Temime said on his behalf, reacting to news that the Paris public prosecutor's office has opened a preliminary inquiry over alleged "rapes and sexual assaults". The probe follows a complaint lodged on Monday in southern Provence, according to a judicial source. The complainant was "a young actress and dancer in her twenties", the Parisian newspaper said, adding that she alleged the actor sexually abused her on the sidelines of a play rehearsal and at his home on August 7 and 13.
