Julia Louis-Dreyfus returns to 'Veep' set following cancer treatment
Actor Julia Louis-Dreyfus is back at work on the set of "Veep" after undergoing treatment for cancer. The 57-year-old Emmy-winning actor and Seinfeld alum was diagnosed with breast cancer last fall. Production on the final season of the HBO series was postponed as she underwent treatment. "Guys, we just learned how to take a picture of ourselves on my phone! Vasan Bala's 'Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota' to premiere at TIFF
Vasan Bala's next "Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota" will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. The organisers shared the news on Twitter that the film, titled "The Man Who Feels No Pain" in English, will be screened at the festival. "@Vasan_Bala Bollywood-infused action film THE MAN WHO FEELS NO PAIN (MARD KO DARD NAHIN HOTA), starring Abhimanyu Dasani and Radhika Madan," TIFF tweeted. The film will be screened in the Midnight Madness section of the festival where movies in action, horror, shock and fantasy genre are placed. Stunt work for 'Mandy' helped Nicolas Cage to recover from broken ankle
Actor Nicolas Cage has revealed that filming for the stunt scenes of his upcoming film "Mandy" helped him in recuperating from an injury. The 54-year-old actor said he had sustained a broken ankle when he was shooting for a previous project. "I was coming off a broken ankle. I didn't want to lose the movie, but while doing all those fight scenes, and preparing for it, I was still kind of going through rehabilitation on my leg," Cage told Entertainment Weekly. "Oddly enough, the stunt work actually helped with my recovery, because it got me using those muscles again, and got me functioning again, whereas I'd been in a wheelchair for three months," he added. Ed Skrein to star in Roland Emmerich's WWII film 'Midway'
Actor Ed Skrein has come aboard the cast of World War II drama "Midway". The film, to be directed by Roland Emmerich, is about the Battle of Midway and follows the soldiers and aviators who helped turn the tide of the war in June 1942. Skrein, 45, best known for the "Deadpool" and "The Transporter Refueled", joins Woody Harrelson, Mandy Moore, Luke Evans and Patrick Wilson in the project, reported Variety. The screenplay has been written by Wes Tooke and Emmerich is also producing the project along with Harald Kloser and Mark Gordon. The film is in the pre-production stage and principal photography is expected to start later this month.
