The Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to stay the release of upcoming Bollywood film 'Fanney Khan'.Film producer Vashu Bhagnani had moved to the apex court against the film's release over the movie's distribution rights.The film, therefore, will hit the big screens on its scheduled release date, i.e. August 3.'Fanney Khan' will see Anil Kapoor playing the role of an orchestra singer, who worships Mohammad Rafi and Shammi Kapoor as his Gods and sings their songs.The one of its kind musical comedy, revolves around a father, played by Anil Kapoor, who wishes to fulfill his daughter's dream of becoming a singer.Helmed by Atul Manjrekar, the film also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao.

The film, titled "Joker", will feature Joaquin Phoenix as the title character who is considered one of the most notorious DC supervillains and an arch-nemesis of The Batman. If finalised, Maron, best known for starring in Netflix's "Glow" series, will Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz and Frances Conroy in the project, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Todd Phillips is directing the film, which the studio describes as being an "exploration of a man disregarded by society that is not only a gritty character study but also a broader cautionary tale". Phillips co-wrote the script with Scott Silver. The shooting is set to begin in September in New York. Warner Bros has announced October 4, 2019, as the release date of the currently untitled film.

Actor Kiersey Clemons is in negotiations to join the cast of Disney's live-action/CG hybrid remake of 1955 classic "Lady and the Tramp". If the deal goes through, the 24-year-old actor will join Justin Theroux and Ashley Jensen in the project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Clemons would play one of the film's live-action roles, Darling, the owner of Lady. The 1955 classic followed two dogs, an upper-middle-class American cocker spaniel named Lady and a a street smart, downtown stray mongrel called the Tramp, as they embark on many romantic adventures. Theroux recently came aboard the film and he will be voicing Tramp. Jensen will be providing the voice for Scottish Terrier Jackie. The studio has hired Charlie Bean to helm the live-action/CG hybrid remake with a script by Andrew Bujalski. Brigham Taylor will produce the project, which will be available exclusively on Disneys own digital streaming service scheduled to be launched late next year.
HBO announces 'Time Traveler's Wife' series from Steven Moffat
HBO has ordered a new series based on Audrey Niffenegger's bestseller "The Time Traveler's Wife". The series will be adapted by Steven Moffat, who is best known for "Sherlock" and "Doctor Who" shows. The story follows Henry, a man with a genetic disorder that causes him to time travel unpredictably, and his wife Clare, who has to cope with his frequent absences and dangerous experiences. The studio has not provided an episode count while casting is yet to begin. Moffat will also serve as executive producer on the project alongside Sue Vertue and Brian Minchin. "I read Audrey Niffenegger's 'The Time Traveler's Wife' many years ago, and I fell in love with it. In fact, I wrote a 'Doctor Who' episode called 'The Girl In The Fireplace' as a direct response to it. When, in her next novel, Audrey had a character watching that very episode, I realised she was probably on to me," Moffat said in a statement. "All these years later, the chance to adapt the novel itself, is a dream come true. ...

Gibson, 62, will play The Pastor while Farrell, 42, will portray Drex in the film whose script has been penned by Nick Ball and John Niven, reported Deadline. The project will be produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Mark Vahradian along with Avi Lerner and Matt Berenson. Gibson, meanwhile, is all set to direct World War II action film "Destroyer", featuring Mark Walhberg in the lead. Farrell will be next seen in Steve McQueen's "Widows" and the Tim Burton-directed "Dumbo".
