Krystyna Pyszkova from Czech Republic crowned Miss World 2024 in Mumbai

Czech Republic's Krystyna Pyszkova on Saturday won the coveted Miss World 2024 title at a grand event here. Miss Lebanon Yasmina Zaytoun was named the first runner-up. Reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska from Poland crowned her successor at the star-studded finale here. India, which hosted the event after 28 years, was represented by 22-year-old Sini Shetty. Mumbai-born Shetty, who was crowned Femina Miss India World in 2022, was unable to make it to the top 4 of the contest. India has won the prestigious title six times -- Reita Faria (1966), Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999), Priyanka Chopra Jonas (2000), and Manushi Chillar (2017). The 71st Miss World pageant, which witnessed participation of contestants from 112 countries of the world, was held at the Jio World Convention Centre in BKC here. Snitch looks to open 7-8 stores in FY24, expand deeper into Indian cities

Men's fashion brand Snitch looks to expand its presence in small cities and towns and open at least 7-8 offline stores in places like Surat, Mumbai and Pune this financial year, a top company official said. The company has a good presence in Tier-1 and -II cities, Snitch founder Siddharth Dungarwal said. The company has its largest consumer base in Mumbai and Pune followed by Delhi NCR and Bengaluru at present. "The next set of strategies for us is to penetrate deeper into the tiers and geographies, into the Tier III and -IV plus in terms of team building," Dungarwal told PTI. The fashion brand also looking to open 7-8 offline stores this fiscal and take the number of stores to 22 in the next financial year. "Expanding our offline stores now, we'll be doing at least seven to eight offline stores in places like Surat, Mumbai, Pune, and Hyderabad by FY24," he added. India's Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE) mission to promote sustainability in all aspects of life took centre-stage for "India Day" at London Fashion Week 2023, with Indian designers showcasing creations using a range of eco-friendly materials. Under the umbrella of Sustainable Modernity, students of Inter National Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) in partnership with the London School of Trends presented their collections at a colourful catwalk in London on Saturday.
