Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Wednesday approved the proposal for a hike in ex-gratia payment for state government employees. A press release issued by the CMO said the ex-gratia has been increased for death during duty to Rs 10 lakh from Rs 4 lakh. Similarly, an ex-gratia in case of permanent disability due to injury has been hiked to Rs 5 lakh from Rs 2 lakh. The compensation amount for partial disability has been raised from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh.

A total of 11,324 candidates have been provisionally selected for appointment to class III posts under 47 departments of the Assam government. Chairman of the State Level Recruitment Commission Ashish Bhutani told reporters here that based on the combined marks of written and skill tests, the final merit list against 11,510 posts was prepared and 11,324 candidates were found to be successful and provisionally selected for appointment. The Commission had received requisitions from 47 departments and following an advertisement, published in March 2022, a total of 9,21,634 online applications were received and out of these, 8,28,860 candidates appeared in the written test. The Union Public Service Commission has declared the final results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2022, the Ministry of Defence said on Monday. The lists are in order of merit of 204 candidates who have qualified the written examination and interviews held by the Services Selection Board (SSB) of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala; and the Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, it said in a statement.
