Massive fire at warehouse in Gurugram, over 200 firefighters deployed

A massive fire broke out at a garment warehouse in Saraswati Enclave Industrial area here and soon spread to two adjoining warehouses of liquor and shoes, prompting a 12-hour operation to douse the blaze, officials said on Wednesday. While no one was reported injured despite the intensity of the fire that started late at night on Tuesday, there was extensive damage to goods in the warehouses. In a statement on Friday, the company said it has "acquired 8.39 acre land at Sector 37D, Gurugram, Haryana, at a cost of Rs 282.42 crore". The overall development potential of this land is about 20 lakh square feet. The company intends to launch the project on this land parcel by the end of the next financial year (2025-26) and expects total revenue of around Rs 3,200 crore, Signature Global said. Signature Global to invest Rs 4,000 cr on 2 projects in Gurugram: Chairman

Realty firm Signature Global is planning to invest around Rs 4,000 crore to develop two new housing projects in Gurugram as part of its expansion plan, its Chairman Pradeep Kumar Aggarwal said. Emaar India, which is part of Dubai-based Emaar Properties, has recently launched a housing project 'Urban Ascent' in Sector 112, Gurugram. Emaar India CEO Kalyan Chakrabarti said the company will develop 816 apartments in this 9.2-acre luxury housing project.
