The Kerala government has already sanctioned Rs nine crore to make 126 destinations 'Barrier Free' by december this year as part of the first phase of the project, P Bala Kiran, Director, Kerala Tourism, said. The state receives about 1.57 crore tourists, including one million international visitors, every year. "It is estimated that about one per cent of these tourists are differently abled," Bala Kiran told PTI. 'Barrier Free Kerala Tourism' is the project of the Department of Tourism in cooperation with Responsible Tourism (RT) mission, which aims to convert the state into a 100 per cent accessible friendly tourist destination by 2021. An IndiGo flight operating on the Delhi-Dubai route was diverted to Muscat on grounds of a medical emergency on Monday.The flight 6E 023 which departed from New Delhi was en route Dubai when it was diverted. The airline also issued a statement stating it informed the Air traffic control (ATC) and also requested an ambulance for the passenger."An IndiGo flight 6E 023 operating Delhi-Dubai route was diverted to Muscat on grounds of a medical emergency this morning. A man allegedly belonging to fugitive Dawood Ibrahim's gang was today arrested with police stating that he had threatened a hotelier under instructions from his accomplices in Pakistan. Ramdas Rahane (41), was nabbed by a team of the Mumbai police's Anti-Extortion Cell (AEC) when he was planning to attack the hotelier after having received money from Pakistan to do so, a senior police official said today. "We have arrested Ramdas Rahane, an important member of the Dawood Ibrahim gang, who was threatening and trying to extort money from a hotelier," said Dilip Sawant, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime).
