Anthony Bourdain toxicology report reveals he had no Narcotics in system at time of death

Celebrity chef and food critic Anthony Bourdain had no narcotics in his system at the time of his death, his toxicology report has revealed. Bourdain was found dead of suicide in his hotel room in Kaysersberg, France on June 8 while in the country filming an upcoming episode of "Parts Unknown" with his close friend French-born chef Eric Ripert. He was 61. There was only a "trace of a non-narcotic medicine in a therapeutic dose" in his system, Christian de Rocquigny, the local prosecutor in charge of the investigation told New York Times. In the 1980s Bourdain bounced from job to job at restaurants in New York City while struggling with a serious drug addiction. He entered rehab and eventually got clean in the early '90s, but continued to drink both on and off screen. Bourdain was cremated in France and his remains and travel belongings were sent to his younger brother and only sibling, Christopher. Veteran rock climber and mountaineer dies

Veteran rock climber and mountaineer Gautam Kanjilal died of a lung infection at a city hospital here, official sources said. Kanjilal, 69, passed away yesterday. He is survived by his wife and a son. An engineer by profession and a member of city-based mountaineering club Himalayan Association, Kanjilal began his outward bound activities way back in 1970 when he attended a rock climbing course at Susunia Hills. Subsequently he underwent training at the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute in Darjeeling and took part in the expedition to hitherto unclimbed Sudarshan in 1978. He also acted as an instructor and course commandant in various rock climbing and adventure courses till a few years back. A keen rock climber, Kanjilal explored quite a few rock routes in the hills of Bankura and Purulia districts and one of them is named after him (Kanjimal) which he pioneered along with three other rock climbers during late 1970s.

CureFit eyes Rs 15 cr revenue during Fitstart sale

Health-tech startup CureFit today said it aims to garner Rs 15 crore in revenue from its three-day 'Fitstart' sale. The company also expects to get 15,000 new subscribers from the sale, which will be held from June 24-26. "...expects to garner Rs 15 crore in revenue in three days. NF Railway introduces Train Captain in Rajdhani Express

Babul Dey of Tinsukia Division created history yesterday when he stepped into the 12423 Dibrugarh-New Delhi Rajdhani Express as the first Train Captain of the Northeast Frontier Railway. To improve onboard services and redress passengers' grievances, NF Railway has introduced 'Train Captain' in premium trains from yesterday. NF Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Pranav Jyoti Sharma said: "The Train Captain will be overall in-charge of the train and will be responsible for ensuring all amenities provided by railways to the passenger." Haryana govt to take 5 monuments in Nuh district under state protection

The Haryana government has decided to bring five monuments in Nuh district under state protection for conservation as per the provisions of the Punjab Ancient Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1964. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has approved a proposal in this regard, an official spokesperson said here today. He said the monuments to be taken under state protection are Ghasera Fort, Old Tehsil Building in Nuh, Kotla Mosque in Kotla village and Chhatris and Kuan in Meoli village. The Ghasera Fort lies at Ghasera village, 14 km from Nuh city, on the Nuh-Sohna road. It was built using stones and lakhouri bricks with lime surkhi mortar. The Old Tehsil Building is located on the main road of Nuh. The Kotla Mosque is in Kotla village, 6.5 km from Nuh city. The red sandstone and grey quartzite tomb has inscription on the ruined gateway dating it to 1392-1400 CE. The two chhatris and a kuan (well) is in Meoli village of Mewat district.

Odisha to replicate MP's Jal Mahotsav at Hirakud dam

Odisha is planning to organise an annual water festival at Hirakud dam in Sambalpur district on the lines of the immensely popular "Jal Mahotsav" in Madhya Pradesh, a top tourism official said. The state tourism department and the district administration will jointly organise the festival every year during the tourist season, which starts from October, said Director of Tourism, N B Jawale. The tourists visiting the festival will get access to facilities like water sports, water adventure activities and tent stay at the Hirakud Dam Reservoir, he said. "It will be water-centric festival. The festival here will be organized in a better way than the Jal Mahotsav in Madhya Pradesh. The duration of the festival will be two to three days," said Jawale, who was on a visit here. US diplomat thinks Trump's UK itinerary includes the queen

An official at the US Embassy in London says he thinks President Donald Trump will meet Queen Elizabeth II during his visit to Britain next month. Deputy Chief of Mission Lew Lukens told reporters yesterday that planning for the July trip was delayed by Trump's summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore last week. Lukens says Trump's itinerary includes meeting with British Prime Minister Theresa May. 13,000 prisoners perform yoga in Delhi

As many as 13,000 inmates across three jail complexes in the national capital performed yoga asanas to mark the fourth International Yoga Day today. A senior official said that inmates from Mandoli, Tihar and Rohini prison complexes performed the yoga. The official said that yoga teachers from Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, Panchawati Yogashram and Nature Cure Center visited the Tihar jail and made the inmates perform yoga. Ahead of the International Yoga Day, yoga guru Baba Ramdev had conducted a yoga session with nearly 11,000 inmates on Sunday.
