South Korean auto major Hyundai on Monday said it has crossed 10 lakh cumulative sales milestone of SUVs made in India. These SUVs have been sold both in India and export markets, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) said in a statement. The launch of mid-sized SUV Creta in 2015 accelerated Hyundai Motor India's growth in the segment with cumulative sales of over 5.9 lakh units in the domestic market and over 2.2 lakh units in the export market, it added. Similarly, the company had introduced compact SUV Venue in 2019 and has already sold over 1.8 lakh units in the domestic market, it added. Commenting on the feat, HMIL Director (Sales, Marketing & Service) Tarun Garg said, "As frontrunners in the introduction of revolutionary technologies, we continue to establish new milestones and redefine benchmarks across segments." Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) on Monday reported a 26.4 per cent increase in total sales at 61,800 units in February. The company had sold 48,910 units in the same month last year, HMIL said in a statement. Domestic sales were up 29 per cent to 51,600 units as against 40,010 units in February 2020, the company added. Exports increased by 14.6 per cent to 10, 200 units in February as compared with 8,900 units in the same month of 2020. "The company has been consistently striving to drive a resurgence in sales, thereby contributing towards economic recovery and bringing the industry closer to pre-Covid level sales. With a cumulative sales of 61 800 units in February 2021, Hyundai has recorded growth across segments," HMIL Director (Sales, Marketing & Service) Tarun Garg said. Both domestic and export demand have recorded healthy double digit growth last month, reflecting an all-round improvement in buyer sentiment, he added.

Hyundai Motor India on Sunday reported an 8.2 per cent increase in total sales at 68,835 units for October. The company had sold 63,610 units in October 2019. The auto major recorded its highest ever monthly domestic sales of 56,605 units last month, up 13.2 per cent from 50,010 units in October 2019, the company said in a statement. The company had achieved the previous highest monthly domestic sales number in October 2018 with 52,001 units. "The October month sales performance has set a positive tone for the overall business environment and we are confident that the company will continue to strongly contribute towards sustainable growth of the economy, community and all its stakeholders," Hyundai Motor India Director (Sales,Marketing & Service) Tarun Garg said. The company's exports, however, declined by 10.1 per cent to 12,230 units as compared with 13,600 units in October last year, it added.
