Amit Chadha takes charge as MD and CEO of L&T Technology Services

L&T Technology Services on Thursday said Amit Chadha has taken charge as the company's CEO and managing director. Amit Chadha has taken over as CEO and MD of LTTS, effective April 1, in line with previous disclosures made to stock exchanges dated October 19, 2020, according to a statement. Prior to his elevation, Chadha was serving as the deputy CEO and whole-time board member, it added. L&T Finance Holdings raises Rs 2,998 cr through rights issue

L&T Finance Holdings Ltd (LTFH) on Tuesday said it has closed its rights issue and has raised over Rs 2,998 crore. LTFH has closed its rights issue to raise Rs 2,998.61 crore. The rights issue was oversubscribed by approximately 15 per cent, it said in a release. The non-banking finance company is present in businesses, including rural finance, housing finance, infrastructure finance and investment management. The allotment of shares will take place next week on the same day, the company said, adding the shares will be listed on BSE and NSE on or by February 26. L&T bags up to Rs 2,500-crore contract for Mumbai Ahmedabad bullet train

Infrastructure company Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Friday said it has received an up to Rs 2,500-crore contract for Mumbai-Ahmedabad high speed rail corridor project. "The heavy civil infrastructure business of L&T Construction has secured a significant contract from two packages of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor," L&T said in a regulatory filing. The company did not provide value of the contracts but said the orders fall under "significant" category which range between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore as per its classification of contracts. The order is to procure, fabricate, assemble, paint and transport 28 bridges, the company added. L&T said the project was secured through a consortium of L&T and IHI Infrastructure Systems (IIS) of Japan. Shares of L&T were trading 0.56 per cent lower at Rs 1,337.45 apiece on BSE.

L&T construction arm bags orders worth up to Rs 5,000 cr in Bangladesh

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Wednesday said its construction arm has bagged orders worth up to Rs 5,000 crore in Bangladesh. The power transmission and distribution business of Larsen & Toubro has won a slew of transmission line orders in Bangladesh, the company said in a regulatory filing. The engineering and construction company did not provide the exact value of the contract, but as per its project classification, "large" orders are those valued between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore. The scope of these packages involves design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of extra high voltage transmission lines on turnkey basis, the company added. L&T-owned Mindtree third quarter profit rises 29% to Rs 327 crore

L & T-owned digital transformation company Mindtree reported 28.7 per cent sequential growth in consolidated profit at Rs 327 crore for the quarter ended December 2020 as compared to Rs 254 crore in Q2 FY21.Consolidated revenue grew by 5.1 per cent quarter-on-quarter to Rs 2,024 crore and dollar revenue increased by 5 per cent to USD 274.1 million during the October to December period 2020.The bounce in numbers was backed by growth across verticals and robust margin expansion with a strong order book."The third quarter has by far been the best performing in recent years, backed by broad-based revenue growth of 5 per cent across verticals and service lines, robust margin expansion of 350 basis points and a healthy order book of USD 312 million (against USD 303 million in Q2FY21)," said Debashis Chatterjee, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director."We are witnessing strong business momentum across all verticals with significant demand for cloud, data and analytics capabilities.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Monday said its construction arm has bagged an up to Rs 5,000 crore contract from Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) in Uttarakhand. The construction arm of L&T has secured a large order for its heavy civil infrastructure business from Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) for package 4 of the new broad-gauge line between Rishikesh and Karanprayag in Uttarakhand, India, the company said in a regulatory filing. The engineering and construction company did not provide the exact value of the contract, but as per its project classification, "large" orders are those valued between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore. Pradhan flags off equipment for Indian Oil's MEG Plant at Paradip

Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday flagged off from L&T's Hazira plant in Surat district critical components bound for Indian Oil's MEG (mono-ethylene glycol) plant coming up at the refinery-cum-petrochemical complex at Paradip in Odisha. During his visit to Surat in Gujarat, the minister flagged off the equipment from the engineering and construction giant Larsen & Toubro's Hazira plant. "Flagged-off indigenously manufactured critical components from L&Ts Hazira manufacturing facility to @IndianOilcls MEG (mono-ethylene glycol) plant coming up at the refinery-cum- petrochemical complex at Paradip in Odisha," Pradhan tweeted after the visit. Larsen & Toubro wins 'significant' contract in Chhattisgarh

Engineering and construction conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Tuesday said it has won a 'significant' contract in Chhattisgarh. The company did not provide the exact contract value. However, as per its classification, a significant contract ranges between Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 2,500 crore. "The Water and Effluent Treatment business of L&T Construction has secured an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) order involving design, engineering, supply and installation of plant and equipment to lay 135 km of slurry pipeline and water pipeline systems between Bacheli and Nagarnar and associated facilities in the state of Chhattisgarh," the company said in a statement.
