A 15 year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth in a village here, police said today. The girl had gone to an agriculture field where the accused Manish Yadav raped her yesterday, they said. The father of the girl had lodged a named FIR at Chilbadagaon police station here against the youth and two of his accomplice including a woman, police said, adding that efforts were on to nab them. The girl has been sent for medical examination, police added.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday booked Unnao Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar who is in police custody on charges of rape.The probe agency has filed a case against Sengar on charges of criminal conspiracy for falsely implicating rape victim's father in a case.Recently, the CBI had arrested two sub-inspectors of the Uttar Pradesh Police in connection with the death of the father of a minor girl, who was allegedly raped by Sengar.Sub Inspector Ashok Singh Bhadauriya, the Station Officer, and Sub Inspector Kamta Prasad Singh, both of Makhi Police Station in Unnao district, were arrested over allegations of criminal conspiracy and destruction of evidence. A street vendor filed complaint against BJP MP Kirit Somaiya in Mumbai alleging that he manhandled him and also collected penalty money from him.The vendor further alleged that the BJP MP pushed him and asked to vacate the place."He (Kirit Somaiya) came at 8 pm and asked us to vacate the place. Ten people, including an infant, were killed and 47 others injured when their bus rammed into a stationary truck in the district in the early hours today, a police official said. The private bus was on its way to Ahmedabad in Gujarat from Banda in Uttar Pradesh when it hit the truck's rear side on a road near Ruthiyai town around 4.30 am, Guna Police Station in-charge Vivek Asthana told PTI. The truck was stranded on the road due to some technical problem, the police said. Seven persons, including the bus driver, died on the spot while three others succumbed to injuries in the district hospital, Asthana said. The deceased included nine men and a one-and-a-half- year old girl. The injured persons were admitted in the district hospital where the condition of three of them was reported to be serious, he said. A case was registered in connection with the mishap, the police added. Further details were awaited.
Four unidentified bodies, stowed into bags, have been found entangled in the gates of Sukkur Barrage in Pakistan's Sindh province. The authorities found the bags with the bodies, including that of a woman, entangled in the gates of the dam on Saturday night. Rescue officials said that all four bodies of three men and a woman bore marks of torture. The bodies, which were tangled in Sukkur Barrage's gates 31, 51, 54, and 59, were subsequently moved to Rohri Hospital for post-mortem. "Apparently the bodies in the bags were thrown in the Indus River and could have floated and got entangled in the dam's gates," a rescue official of the Edhi centre said.

A 16-year-old girl was killed and her body was chopped into three pieces by the person who had brought her from Jharkhand to get her employed as a domestic help in Delhi, after she demanded her salary, police said today. The body parts of the girl was found in a drain on May 4, a day after she was killed. After the body was found, police scanned the footage from CCTV cameras installed in Mianwali Nagar and the tenants of nearly 200 homes in the area were "analysed", police said. Police received a tip-off that one of the tenants, a resident of Jharkhand, was missing since the girl's killing. A raid was conducted at his village but he was not there. Later, police learnt that the man was expected to visit his rented accommodation in Delhi on May 17. A trap was laid and he was arrested. A Russian man who allegedly masturbated in front of his Indian woman co-passenger on an international flight has been arrested, Delhi Police said on Sunday.
A woman was apprehended here today after fake currency with a face value Rs 25,000 was allegedly recovered from her, police sources said. Acting on a tip off, the police apprehended the woman with the counterfeit currency, in Rs 200 denomination notes, at Kakopather Daily Market, under Kakopathar Police Station, the sources said. The woman has been identified as one Ranjumoni Barua from Tiniali Nagaon of the district, they said. The police have lodged a case and investigation is underway.
Live cockroaches were allegedly found in a soft drink served to a customer of a fast food outlet here, following which a case has been registered against the person in-charge of the eatery. Police said the customer found the live insects in the soft drink on May 16. However the woman in charge did not properly respond over his complaint and allegedly misbehaved with him, they said. The customer took a video of the live cockroaches and posted the clipping on the internet, He had also complained to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, which sent its officials to the outlet and asked the management to close it. A woman lawyer has filed a complaint with the Ghaziabad police alleging that a station house officer manhandled and briefly detained her and her associate at a police station. Sangeeta Sharma, in her complaint to Senior Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Krishna, said SHO Vinod Pandey abused and manhandled her and her associate Vinod Tyagi when they had gone to Sihanigate police station on Thursday night to know the status of a report sent to them by a court. Sangeeta Sharma said Pandey and other police officials badmouthed and detained them for a few hours. Anil Sharma, the president of the district bar association, said he was trying to sort out the issue. Former association president Rakesh Tyagi Kakda demanded Pandey's suspension. Superintendent of Police Satya Prakash said the sand mafia attacked the escort vehicle of District Magistrate Rahul Ranjan Mahiwal near Tejpura village under Daudnagar police station area of the district. Acting on a tip-off that illegal sand mining was going on from Sone river in and around Tejpura village, Mahiwal went to the spot and directed the police to seize three sand laden tractors from the directive, the SP said. A 58-year-old NRI, holding a Russian passport, was arrested at the Delhi airport today after an Indian woman alleged that he had masturbated sitting beside her on board a flight from Istanbul, officials said. The security control room at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport was informed in the early hours today that there was an "unruly passenger" on board a Turkish Airlines flight approaching Delhi. Personnel of the CISF, which guards the airport, reached the flight (TK-716) upon landing and were informed that the Indian woman had, in the meantime, made a distress call to the Delhi Police alleging sexual harassment by a co-passenger. The charred body of an unidentified woman was today found along the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway in Virar in neighbouring Palghar district, police said. A police official said that the woman was possibly set ablaze in the early hours today, adding that a case of murder had been registered against unknown persons at Virar police station.
