Kashmir continues to be 'core unresolved agenda', says Pak Army chief

Pakistan Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday said the Kashmir issue continues to be a "core unresolved agenda" and warned against "misadventure" against his country. Gen Bajwa made the remarks during a visit to Sarpir and Pandu Sectors at the Line of Control where he interacted with the Pakistani troops, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) - the media wing of the army - said in a statement. He appreciated the "operational readiness and high morale" of troops and said the Pakistan Army is "fully invested in peace and stability of the region". "However, we are ready and resolute in defending the motherland against any misadventure," Gen Bajwa was quoted as saying by the statement. Rahul calls CBI chief's benching 'panic reaction' over Rafale, BJP says he is 'hallucinating'

The opposition parties stepped up their offensive against the government for forcing the CBI director to go on leave with Congress chief Rahul Gandhi dubbing the action as "illegal" and a "panic reaction" to cover up Rafale deal evidence while the BJP hit back saying Gandhi was "hallucinating" and "manufacturing lies" every day on the jet deal. By-election in 6 months to fill vacancies: CEC on disqualification of 18 TN MLAs

The Pentagon is expected to deploy "several hundred" troops to the US-Mexico border, a US official told AFP Thursday, after President Donald Trump said the military would be used to tackle a "national emergency" on the border. CBI director's removal 'panic reaction' by PM to stall Rafale probe: Rahul

Congress President Rahul Gandhi Thursday alleged that the midnight removal of CBI Director Alok Verma was "illegal" and a "panic reaction" by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to stall investigation on "corruption" in the Rafale fighter jet deal. Afghanistan: 3 IS terrorists killed in US airstrike
