Mahindra Lifespace Q2 results: Net loss at Rs 14 cr on lower income

Realty firm Mahindra Lifespace Developers Limited has posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 14.01 crore for the second quarter of this fiscal on lower income. The company had posted a net loss of Rs 18.93 crore in the year-ago period. Its total income declined to Rs 16.96 crore during the July-September quarter from Rs 26.70 crore in the year-ago period, according to a regulatory filing on Friday. During the April-September period of this fiscal, Mahindra Lifespace posted a net loss of Rs 1.27 crore against a net loss of Rs 23.20 crore in the year-ago period. The total income grew to Rs 222.66 crore in the first six months of this fiscal from Rs 136.76 crore in the same period of the preceding year. In 2023-24, Mahindra Lifespace reported a net profit of Rs 98.30 crore on a total income of Rs 279.12 crore. Mahindra Lifespace, a real estate arm of Mahindra Group, is one of the leading real estate developers in the country.

Godawari Power and Ispat Q2 results: Net profit falls 38% to Rs 159 cr

Godawari Power and Ispat Ltd (GPIL) on Saturday reported about 38 per cent decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 159.39 crore in the September quarter of 2024-25. It had posted Rs 256.71 crore "net profit from ordinary activities" in the same period a year ago, the company said in an exchange filing. Total income fell to Rs 1,290.38 crore from Rs 1,314.21 crore in the July-September period of 2023-24. Expenses increased to Rs 1,073.93 crore from Rs 974.62 crore in the year-ago quarter.

IDFC First Bank Q2FY25 results: Net profit falls 73% to Rs 201 cr

IDFC First Bank on Saturday posted a 73 per cent decline in its standalone profit to Rs 11,746 crore in the second quarter ended in September 2024. The private sector lender had earned a net profit of Rs 751 crore in the same quarter a year ago. However, total income increased to Rs 10,684 crore during the quarter under review against Rs 8,786 crore in the same period last year, IDFC First Bank said in a regulatory filing. The bank reported interest income of Rs 8,957 crore during the quarter compared to Rs 7,356 crore in the same period a year ago. Provisions for Q2 FY25 stood at Rs 1,732 crore, primarily on account of prudent provisioning buffer of Rs 568 crore, the bank said in a statement. Net Interest Income (NII) improved to Rs 4,788 crore, from Rs 3,950 crore in the second quarter of the previous year. Jaiprakash Power Ventures Q2 results: Net profit grows to Rs 182.66 cr

Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd on Saturday reported a three-fold rise in its consolidated profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 182.66 crore for the July-September quarter of 2024-25 on account of lower expenses. It had posted a PAT of Rs 68.66 crore in the July-September period of 2023-24, the company said in an exchange filing. Total income decreased to Rs 1,305.19 crore in the second quarter from Rs 1,359.23 crore a year ago. The company reduced its expenses to Rs 1,070.76 crore from Rs 1,172.02 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

REC Q2 results: Net profit grows 7% to Rs 4,037 cr on higher income

State-owned REC Ltd on Saturday posted around 7 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 4,037.72 crore for the September 2024 quarter, mainly on the back of higher income. Its consolidated net profit stood at Rs 3,789.90 crore in the quarter ended September 2023, a BSE filing showed. The total income rose to Rs 13,706.31 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 11,684.89 crore a year ago. The board also approved the second interim dividend of Rs 4 per equity share of Rs 10 each for 2024-25. The record date for the interim dividend is November 18. The interim dividend will be paid on or before November 22, 2024. In a separate statement, the company said, "Owing to growth in all the verticals, resetting of interest rates on loan assets and effective management of finance cost, REC is able to maintain its spreads and NIMs (Net Interest Margin) resulting in H1 PAT of Rs 7,448 crore". JK Cement Q2 results: PAT falls 22.5% to Rs 136 cr, revenue at Rs 2,560 cr

JK Cement Ltd on Saturday reported a 22.52 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit to Rs 136.15 crore for the second quarter ended September 2024. The company had posted a profit of Rs 175.73 crore a year ago, according to a regulatory filing from JK Cement. Its revenue from operations slipped 7 per cent to Rs 2,560.12 crore during the quarter under review. It was Rs 2,752.77 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. JK Cement's total expenses rose marginally to Rs 2,545.25 crore in the September quarter. The total income of JK Cement, which includes other income, declined 6.62 per cent to Rs 2,597.90 crore in Q2 FY25. JK Cement has an installed Grey Cement capacity of 24 MTPA. It is one of the leading manufacturers of white cement, globally, with a total white cement capacity of 1.20 MTPA and wall putty capacity of 1.2MTPA.

Bandhan Bank Q2 results: Net profit increases 30% to Rs 937 crore

Bandhan Bank on Friday reported a 30 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 937 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2024. The bank had earned a net profit of Rs 721 crore in the year-ago period. Total income rose to Rs 6,095 crore in the quarter under review, from Rs 5,032 crore in the same period a year ago, Bandhan Bank said in a regulatory filing. Interest income of the bank rose to Rs 5,500 crore in the July-September quarter, from Rs 4,492 crore in the September quarter of 2023. Asset quality of the bank witnessed improvement with gross non-performing assets (NPAs) falling to 4.68 per cent of gross advances at the end of the September quarter of 2024, as against 7.32 per cent a year ago. Net NPAs or bad loans also declined to 1.29 per cent, as against 2.32 per cent in the year-ago period. However, the Capital Adequacy Ratio of the bank declined to 14.34 per cent, from 19.21 per cent at the end of September 2023.

DLF Q2 results: Profit more than doubles to Rs 1,381 cr, revenue up 48%

Realty major DLF on Friday reported a more than two-fold jump in its consolidated net profit to Rs 1,381.08 crore for the quarter ended September 2024. Its net profit stood at Rs 622.78 crore in the year-ago period. The total income rose to Rs 2,180.83 crore during the April-September period of the 2024-25 fiscal from Rs 1,476.42 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding year, according to a regulatory filing.
