Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore

Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore is a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) politician and an Olympic silver medal winner for shooting. He is a Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in the Narendra Modi government at the Centre. 
 
In 2002, Rathore won a Gold Medal and set a new Commonwealth Games Record of 192 targets out of 200. He was a commissioned officer in the Indian Army and retired as a Colonel. He took part in counterterrorism operations in Kashmir during his days in the Army. Rathore joined the BJP in 2013. Rathore won the Lok Sabha election from the Jaipur rural constituency in 2014.
 
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, discus thrower and Rajasthan MLA Krishna Poonia has been fielded by the Congress to contest against Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore for the Jaipur rural constituency.
