GQG Partners on Monday acquired shares of hospital chain Max Healthcare Institute for Rs 415 crore through an open market transaction. According to the bulk deal data available with the National Stock Exchange (NSE), GQG Partners Emerging Markets Equity Fund bought 75,50,000 lakh shares of the firm. The shares were purchased at an average price of Rs 549.70 apiece, taking the transaction value to Rs 415 crore. Details about the sellers could not be immediately ascertained. Shares of Max Healthcare Institute gained nearly 1 per cent to close at Rs 550.45 apiece on the NSE. During the day, the scrip also touched its 52-week high of Rs 558.85 per share on the bourse. In a separate bulk deal, Morgan Stanley Investment Funds offloaded 9.60 lakh shares of Gland Pharma for Rs 89 crore. In a statement on Tuesday, the company announced its share will be divided in the ratio of 1:10. The current face value of each share is Rs 10 and after the split, the new value of each share would be Re 1. "The record date is on Thursday, 4 May, 2023 for the purpose of sub-division of 1 equity share of Rs 10 each into 10 equity shares of Re 1 each fully paid up," Apollo Micro Systems said. Shares of the company on Tuesday ended 5 per cent up at Rs 328.75 apiece on BSE. Besides, the Hyderabad-based company offers solutions to industries like aerospace and defence, railways and automotive sectors, among others.

Shares of Godrej Properties on Monday surged 9 per cent after the company said its sales booking rose 56 per cent last fiscal to an all-time high of Rs 12,232 crore on strong demand for residential properties. The stock jumped 9.06 per cent to finish at Rs 1,227.25 apiece on the BSE. During the day, it rallied 9.81 per cent to Rs 1,235.70. On the NSE, it climbed 8.63 per cent to settle at Rs 1,222.55 per share. In a regulatory filing, Godrej Properties informed that the company achieved its highest-ever sales bookings in the fourth quarter as well as the entire 2022-23 financial year. In the fourth quarter, the company clocked sales bookings of Rs 4,051 crore. Its sales bookings stood at Rs 7,861 crore in 2021-22. Indowind Energy Ltd on Friday said its board has approved the allotment of over 1.75 crore shares for Rs 12 per equity share. This price includes a premium of Rs 2 on each share, Indowind Energy said in a regulatory filing. "In the meeting held on March 31, 2023, the Board considered and approved the allotment of 1,75,93,294 equity shares at a price of Rs 12 per equity share (including a premium of Rs 2 per equity share) (allotment)," it said. In view of the above, the paid-up equity share capital of the company has increased from Rs 89,74,14,860 (8,97,41,486 equity shares of Rs 10 each) to Rs 107,33,47,800 (10,73,34,780 equity shares of Rs 10 each), it added.

Shares of Adani Group companies closed higher on Wednesday, with the flagship Adani Enterprises closing at a month's high following a six-day gaining streak. Some of the group stocks also hit their upper circuit levels after the group announced that it has repaid share-based financing of Rs 7,374 crore (over USD 900 million) and will prepay all such remaining loans by the end of the month. The NSE and the BSE on Monday announced that the flagship Adani Enterprises will be moved out from the short-term additional surveillance measure (ASM) framework, which also bolstered the group stocks. Air cooler and appliances maker Symphony on Wednesday reported 85.71 per cent jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 39 crore for the third quarter ended December 2022. The company had logged a net profit of Rs 21 crore in October-December period a year ago, Symphony said in a regulatory filing. Revenue from operations rose 35.12 per cent to Rs 277 crore during the quarter under review against Rs 205 crore in the year-ago period. This was led by robust off-season sales and quite positive and buoyant trade sentiment during the quarter, Symphony said in its earnings statement. The company's revenue from the Indian market was at Rs 198 crore, while the global markets contributed Rs 79 crore. Total expenses in the quarter were Rs 243 crore, up 32.06 per cent as compared to the year-ago period. Symphony also said its board, in a meeting held on Wednesday, approved a share buyback of Rs 200 crore, buying back up to 10,00,000 equity shares at Rs 2,000 per scrip, subject to shareholders'
