Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday said Class V and Class VIII final examinations in government, government-recognised private and government-aided schools will be in the "board examination" pattern. He, however, did not give details of what the board examination pattern would entail. The CM, who was interacting with 15,000 newly-hired teachers at an event, also said the audit of internal marks will be regularized in schools. He hailed the teachers for being the architects of a child's future and said his government will provide all support to make the education system in the state the best in the country. He also said teachers must work towards removing the fear of English language among students.

Over 2.2 mn have benefited this year from self-employment schemes in MP: CM

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday said his government will help 2.5 lakh persons every month to earn a livelihood through self-employment schemes and asserted that 22.50 lakh people had been provided work under such schemes this year. He also said his government has requested Prime Minister Narendra Narendra Modi to inaugurate the proposed 'Pravasi (NRI) Bharatiya Sammelan', scheduled to be held in Indore from January 7 to 9 next year. MP will contribute $550 bn to make India $5-trn economy: CM Chouhan

Madhya Pradesh will contribute USD 550 billion towards making India a $ 5 trillion economy, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Sunday. His remarks came at the seventh NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. In 2019, PM Modi envisioned making India a USD 5-trillion economy and global powerhouse by 2024-25.
