Tata Power bags NHPC's solar project worth Rs 1,731 cr in Rajasthan

Tata Power Solar Systems on Monday said it has bagged 300 MW solar project worth Rs 1,731 crore from state-owned NHPC. "Tata Power Solar Systems, one of India's largest integrated solar companies and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power, bagged an order of 300 MW solar project worth Rs 1,731 crore, inclusive of tax from NHPC," a company statement said. According to the statement, the project site, located in Rajasthan, will be developed under the CPSU (Central Public Sector Undertaking) scheme of IREDA (Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency). The project, which is expected to be completed within 18 months, aims to reduce around 6,36,960 carbon emissions, and is expected to generate approximately 750 million units annually. ReNew Power inks 5 PPAs to supply around 1500 MW solar energy

ReNew Power on Thursday said it has signed five power purchase agreements (PPAs) for the supply of around 1,500 MW electricity generated from solar plants. The company has signed PPAs with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd (PSPCL), as well as multiple long-term purchase agreements with corporate buyers together totalling around 2 GW, a company statement said. This has seen the company's gross total portfolio jumping to 12.1 GW from 10.2 GW at the beginning of this calendar year. The new utility solar projects will be located in the western state of Rajasthan and have flat tariffs over 25 years. Four solar PPAs have been signed with SECI and one with PSPCL. Two PPAs of 600 MW and 375 MW are under the SECI Rajasthan IV scheme, where ReNew will supply electricity at Rs 2.18/kWh. Tata Power Renewable Energy commissions 100 MW solar projs in Uttar Pradesh

Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) has commissioned two solar power projects of 50 MW each in Uttar Pradesh. A subsidiary of Tata Power, TPREL has comissioned the solar projects at Prayagraj and Banda, a statement said on Monday. The projects have been completed by TPREL within the agreed timelines despite COVID challenges. The plants are expected to generate more than 221.26 million units annually. Approximately 1,59,600 modules were used in the project at Prayagraj and the installation is expected to reduce 91,137 lakh tonnes of carbon emission every year. At Banda, 1,67,440 modules were used over 236 acres of land. The statement said the plants at Prayagraj and Banda are expected to reduce 1,77,037 lakh tonnes of carbon emission annually.
