The World Women's Boxing Championships, to be hosted by India after more than a decade, will be held from November 15 in the national capital, a top official of the international body said Friday. India's junior shooting coach Jaspal Rana has claimed that a "tweak" in selection policy kept 16-year-old Asian Games gold-medallist Saurabh Chaudhary out of the national team for one year. Chaudhary, the son of a farmer from Kalina village in Meerut, went on to win the gold medal beating a field of multiple world and Olympic champions in Palembang, Indonesia, in the process becoming India's youngest shooter to win gold at Asian Games. "He was out of the national team for one year because the policy was twisted by certain influential people within and outside the NRAI (National Rifle Association of India)," the Jaspal told PTI in an interview. The 24-year-old Indian, who had a 3-7 head-to-head record against Momota, couldn't find a chink in the Japanese's armour, losing 9-21 11-21 to the world No.2 in a lop-sided contest. "Today, the great majority of WADA's Executive Committee decided to reinstate RUSADA as compliant with the World Anti-Doping Code subject to strict conditions," WADA president Craig Reedie said on Thursday. Reedie said the decision "provides a clear timeline by which WADA must be given access to the former Moscow laboratory data and samples". He said if the commitment was not met, WADA would reinstate the ban on the Russian anti-doping agency.
