Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has said that the club striker Anthony Martial "cannot have all the things he wants in life".Martial had, earlier, expressed a desire to leave the club after he saw his opportunities cut short under Jose Mourinho and following the arrival of the forward player Alexis Sanchez."You cannot do whatever you want in life, I would love to arrive in Los Angeles, to train in Los Angeles and play all my five matches in Los Angeles, and then don't travel, don't change hotel and then go back to Manchester," Sports24 quoted Mourinho, as saying."I would like to play against Leicester on Sunday but I have to play on Friday, so you don't get always in life what you want," he added. The forward player, reportedly, struggled to gain a spot in the starting XI with 12 of his 30 league appearances coming off the bench in 2017-18 under Mourinho.Martial, who joined United in 2015, had an impactful debut season in which he notched up 11 goals in 31 Premier League games .

Dhanushka Gunathilaka, 27, and his friend, who cannot be named, took two Norwegian women to the hotel where the player was staying in Colombo in the early hours of Sunday. One of the women later accused the second man, a British passport-holder of Sri Lankan origin, of raping her and police arrested him. The 26-year-old "is under arrest and we are continuing our investigations," a police official told AFP. "A Norwegian tourist made the complaint of rape." He said there was no allegation against Gunathilaka, who is currently Sri Lanka's best-performing batsman in an ongoing tour by South Africa. However Sri Lanka Cricket on Sunday night suspended him on a "misconduct" charge, although he is allowed to play in the match that is currently taking place. The governing body's rules stipulate that during matches players must ..
Virat Kohli feels "it doesn't matter if he doesn't score runs as long as India wins" but England pace spearhead James Anderson says the Indian captain has to be lying if he states that his individual form won't be a factor in the upcoming five-Test series starting August 1. "It doesn't matter if he gets runs or not? I think he is telling lies there," Anderson said in jest when asked about Kohli's statement during an exclusive chat with PTI. In 2014, Kohli had struggled to get going and managed only 134 runs in five Tests here, one of his worst Test performances. It is a blot on his stellar career to this day, even though he scored 655 runs in five Tests against England in the home series (2016-17) to lead his side to a 4-0 win. At the beginning of the ongoing tour, Kohli had laughed off queries about his form, stating that he intends to enjoy his time here rather than obsess over his individual form as long as the team does well. "For India to win here, of course it matters. Virat ...

Mesut Ozil's angry departure from Germany's national team amid accusations of racism is drawing mixed reactions at home, with both expressions of concern over its implications for society and criticism of the player. The Arsenal star announced via Twitter on Sunday he was retiring from international football after Germany's first-round World Cup exit. He attacked the German football federation (DFB), its president, fans and media for what he saw as racism and double standards in treating people with Turkish roots. Ozil defended his much-criticized decision to pose for a photo with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan two months ago. Justice Minister Katarina Barley tweeted: "It is an alarm signal when a great German footballer such as @MesutOzil1088 feels unwanted in his country because of racism and not represented by the DFB.

I think we only had three partnerships of 50 and above the whole series," Faf du Plessis, South Africa's crestfallen skipper, said Monday. "But once again you have to give credit to the opposition. They were able to put us under pressure for long periods of
