IPL 2018: Corey Anderson replaces injured Coulter-Nile in RCB

New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson will replace fast bowler Nathan Coulter-Nile in the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) squad in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).The IPL Technical Committee confirmed the replacement on Saturday.Coulter-Nile has been ruled out of the IPL owing to an injury.In accordance with the Player Regulations, the RCB were allowed to choose a replacement from the Registered and Available Player Pool (RAPP).The Royal Challengers Bangalore subsequently picked New Zealand's Anderson for his base price of Rs 2 crore.The 11th edition of the IPL will begin from April 7.

Sindhu to be India's flagbearer in Gold Coast CWG

Star shuttler P V Sindhu has been named the flag-bearer of the Indian contingent for the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast next month. According to sources in the Indian Olympic Association, 2016 Olympic silver medallist Sindhu's rising stature in recent years clinched the issue in her favour for the coveted position. The opening ceremony will be held on April 4. Having won a silver medal at the Rio Olympics two years ago, the Hyderabad-based World No. 3 Sindhu is one of the favourites to win the badminton women's singles title in Gold Coast. Promising Mumbai paddler Aadil Anand turned in a sterling display to clinch a golden double and lead India's medal charge at the 2018 Tunisia Junior and Cadet Open in the harbour city of Rades, Tunisia.
