Sri Lanka off-spinner Akila Dananjaya was reported over a suspect bowling action during the first Test which England won by 211 runs, the International Cricket Council said Sunday. "Dananjaya's bowling action will now be scrutinised further under the ICC process relating to suspected illegal bowling actions reported in Tests, ODIs and T20Is," the governing body of the sport said in a statement. Dananjaya, 25, took two wickets giving away 184 runs in the match that concluded in four days at Galle on Friday. The match officials' report, which was handed over to the Sri Lanka team management, cited concerns about the legality of his bowling action, the ICC said. He is required to undergo testing within two weeks and, during this period, Dananjaya is permitted to continue bowling in international cricket until the results are known, the ICC added. There was no immediate comment from Sri Lanka Cricket. The second Test starts in Pallekele on Wednesday and the third and final match in the ...

Gautam Gambhir and Ishant Sharma, the two senior players are currently at the different crossroads in their respective careers. For Ishant, a Ranji Trophy match is a like a pit-stop, where he lands occasionally to add miles to his legs before embarking on tougher assignments. This time he is here to check his match fitness before leaving for the Australia Test series. For Gambhir, it is the business end of his career where he literally wants to take one match at a time and not think too far ahead of himself. Having relinquished captaincy, Gambhir will certainly keep a hawk eye on Rana, who will have his first tryst with the senior team leadership. He has been made captain for the first two games. "I am a bit nervous but I am happy that seniors like Gautam Gambhir ...

But for me, it's more about how the team does," Sharma said.West Indies skipper Carlos Brathwaite, on the other hand, said, "The wicket might slow down a bit later on. David Miller and Faf du Plessis plundered big-hitting centuries in a batting masterclass as South Africa beat Australia by 40 runs to win their one-day series and inflict another defeat on Justin Langer's misfiring side. The pair shared in a 252-run stand to power the Proteas to 320-5 in the third and final match in Hobart -- a record fourth wicket partnership by South Africa against the hosts in Australia. They came together at 55-3 in the 16th over with Miller swatting 139 for his fifth limited-overs century and du Plessis smashing 125 -- his 10th one-day ton. A composed Shaun Marsh cracked a fighting 106 in the run chase, ably supported by Marcus Stoinis (63) and Alex Carey (42) -- an improvement on recent batting displays but still not good enough. Pace spearheads Kagiso Rabada and Dale Steyn both took three wickets. The victory handed South Africa their first ODI series win in Australia since 2009 and left Australia with plenty to ponder ahead of India's arrival this month for a
