Ruling BRS MLC in Telangana K Kavitha will be delivering a keynote lecture at the Oxford University in London on October 30 on the schemes undertaken by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao-led government in the state and about the progress achieved in different fields. Kavitha has been invited by Oxford University for a lecture as part of development economics, a release from Kavitha's office said here on Tuesday. "CM KCR led Telangana government's programmes have gained international recognition. Oxford University has acknowledged Telangana's rapid progress in India. This recognition comes as a result of the various initiatives undertaken by the state government," it said. In recent years, several programmes launched by the chief minister have attracted Oxford University's attention, it said. BJP revokes suspension of Telangana MLA Raja Singh ahead of Assembly polls

The BJP leadership has revoked the suspension of its Goshamahal MLA T Raja Singh considering his explanation in response to the show cause notice served by the party earlier, Telangana BJP chief G Kishan Reddy said in a statement on Sunday. In August last year, Raja Singh was suspended from the party following his alleged controversial remarks against "Islam and Prophet Mohammed" in a video which was later pulled down by the social media platform on which it was uploaded. He was arrested under the Preventive Detention Act. However, the Telangana High Court in November 2022 had set aside the PD Act invoked against him. Later, he was granted bail. "The Central disciplinary committee of the BJP has decided to revoke the suspension of Shri T Raja Singh MLA Goshamahal from the BJP after due consideration of his explanation in response to the show cause notice served by the party. BJP legislator Etala Rajender is set to take on Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in Gajwel constituency in November 30 assembly polls, according to the first list of candidates released by the BJP on Sunday. Three of the BJP's sitting Lok Sabha members - Bandi Sanjay Kumar (former Telangana BJP chief and Karimnagar MP), Dharmapuri Arvind (Nizamabad MP) and Soyam Bapu Rao (Adilabad MP) will contest in the elections. Three Lok Sabha MPs in BJP's list of 52 candidates for Telangana polls

Three Lok Sabha MPs, including its former Telangana president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, figured on Sunday in the BJP's first list of 52 candidates for the November 30 state assembly polls. The BJP has also given ticket to its firebrand Hindutva leader T Raja Singh from his Goshamahal seat after revoking his suspension, effected last year for alleged insulting remarks towards Prophet Mohammad. Its election committee head Etela Rajender has been fielded from Huzurabad, a seat the former BRS leader represents in the outgoing assembly. Telangana least corrupt state, BRS targets 95-100 seats in polls: K Kavitha
