Jungle Camps aims to hit Rs 100 cr revenue by 2028; firms up IPO plans

Jungle Camps India Ltd, which provides wildlife and conservation-focused lodges to guests, on Wednesday announced plans to achieve Rs 100 crore in revenue by FY28 from Rs 18 crore in FY24. In line with its growth strategy, the Delhi-headquartered company has set its sights on an Initial Public Offering (IPO) to fund its expansion plans. Jungle Camps India clocked a total revenue of Rs 18.10 crore and a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 3.59 crore in FY24, compared with total revenue of Rs 11.24 crore and PAT of Rs 45 lakh in FY23, registering a healthy growth of 61 per cent in revenues and a five-fold jump in profit. FlixBus partners with Paytm to enhance global travel tech distribution

Global travel tech firm FlixBus has partnered with fintech major Paytm to expand its distribution network, a joint statement said on Tuesday. With this, FlixBus tickets will now be available through the Paytm app. "This collaboration is poised to drive substantial growth for both companies, expanding Paytm's travel options and reinforcing its position in the travel industry while enabling FlixBus to tap into Paytm's vast customer base and technological expertise," the statement said. "By encouraging more people to choose bus travel, we can significantly reduce emissions and make a positive impact on the environment. Webelieve it will significantly enhance the travel experience for millions of users," Surya Khurana, Managing Director of FlixBus India, said. Shares of Paytm settled at Rs 459.75 apiece on the BSE, down 2 per cent from the previous close.

India is expected to be a power house for future airline growth driven by the eagerness of people to travel and growing population, according to a report. In a report, the Netherlands-based ING Bank NV said India is set to deliver strong structural growth figures, and airlines are preparing for this with historically large orders for new aircraft from carriers Indigo and Air India. "The country plans to open a range of new airports, and strategically located countries such as the UAE, with the world's second largest airport in terms of passenger traffic in Dubai are anticipating strong transit passenger growth from Asia," it said. Consultations between Russia and India on a bilateral agreement to ease travel will begin in June, a Russian minister has said, adding that Moscow and New Delhi were set to strengthen their tourism ties by launching visa-free group tourist exchanges. Travel, tourism sector expected to add 58.2 mn jobs by 2033: NLB Services

With a continued growth momentum, the travel and tourism sector is all set to add 5.82 crore jobs across the country by 2033, a top executive of global technology and digital talent solutions provider NLB Services said on Monday. "The growing synergy of the sector has led to steadfast employment generation across the country both in tier I and II locations. In the pandemic year 2020, the tourism sector accounted for 39 million jobs, constituting 8 per cent of the nation's total workforce. Post the pandemic recovery tenure, this was one of the sectors that saw the quickest recovery," NLB Services CEO Sachin Alug said in a statement. Incidentally, talent demand in tourism recorded a 44 per cent spike in August 2023, and 1.6 million additional jobs were expected to be added in the calendar year 2023, he said.
