Two and three wheeler major TVS Motor Company has rolled out its 2025 edition 225 cc motorcycle 'Ronin' upgraded with safety features besides adding two new colors priced at Rs 1.35 lakh ex-showroom onwards, a senior company official said on Tuesday. TVS RONIN has redefined motorcycling by blending the timeless appeal of retro aesthetics with cutting edge technology and contemporary riding. The new 2025 TVS RONIN now introduces vibrant colours, a sleek new style and enhanced features, the company said. "With the 2025 edition, we bring in a new palette of striking colours with upgraded safety features and are excited to bring this refreshed model to our customers and look forward to their enthusiastic response as they experience the next chapter of the TVS RONIN's journey," said TVS Motor Head Business - Premium, Vimal Sumbly in a company statement on Tuesday. TVS Motor Company on Tuesday reported a 20 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 609.35 crore in the December quarter, riding on higher sales. The company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 509.61 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, TVS Motor Company said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations in the third quarter stood at Rs 11,134.63 crore against Rs 10,113.94 crore in the year-ago period, it added. Total expenses in the October-December quarter were higher at Rs 10,272.62 crore compared to Rs 9,362.83 crore in the same period a year ago. Overall two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales, including exports in the quarter, grew by 10 per cent to 12.12 lakh units in the quarter ended December 2024 over 11.01 lakh units in the year-ago quarter, TVS Motor Co said. TVS Motor, a leading player in the two and three-wheeler segment, is planning to make a foray into the electric cargo vehicle space, an official said on Monday. The company, which launched its electric three-wheeler passenger vehicle in the eastern metropolis, is hoping to roll out the cargo variant during the last quarter of the current financial year. "We launched the electric three-wheeler in Kolkata along with UP, Bihar, J&K and Delhi in the passenger segment. The company aims to make a foray into the electric cargo three-wheeler segment during the fourth quarter of the current financial year", TVS Motor's business head, commercial mobility, Rajat Gupta said. He said that the adoption of electric vehicles in the three-wheeler segment is growing. TVS Motor Company on Thursday reported a 7 per cent increase in total sales at 3,21,687 units in December as compared to 3,01,898 units in the same month a year ago. Total two-wheeler sales were up 8 per cent at 3,12,002 units last month as against 2,90,064 units in December 2023, the company said in a statement. Domestic two-wheeler sales were up marginally at 2,15,075 units in December 2024, from 2,14,988 units in the year-ago month. The company said its electric vehicle sales rose 79 per cent last month at 20,171 units as compared to 11,288 units in December 2023. Three-wheeler sales were lower at 9,685 units last month as against 11,834 units in December 2023. Exports registered a 22 per cent increase at 1,04,393 units last month, from 85,391 units in December 2023, the company said.
