Indian death row prisoner Kulbhushan Jadhav's wife and mother today arrived here for a meeting with him at the Foreign Affairs Ministry, officials said. TV footage showed a convoy of around seven vehicles escorting Jadhav's family in the city. A Foreign Office spokesperson said Jadhav's family first went to the Indian High Commission. A suicide attacker on foot blew himself up near a compound belonging to the Afghan intelligence agency in Kabul today, killing six civilians, officials said. The attacker struck at a time when workers were arriving at their offices. It comes a week after militants stormed a National Directorate of Security (NDS) training centre in the Afghan capital. Interior ministry spokesman Najib Danish told AFP six civilians in a car were killed when the attacker detonated himself. "Six people were martyred and three others were wounded," Danish said. "They were hit when they were passing the area in their Toyota sedan vehicle. We still do not know the target of the attack but it happened on the main road." Twelve police personnel in south district were sent to district lines after they were found negligent in duty during a general night 'gasht' by the Delhi Police commissioner, officials said today. The entire Delhi Police force, including commissioner Amulya Patnaik, were on night patrol last night, they said. In south Delhi, negligence was seen in patrolling after which 12 police personnel attached with different stations were sent to district lines. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Romil Baaniya said that last night during general gasht some deficiency was found in motorcycle patrolling on some corridors and roads. "The responsible police personnel, who were designated for patrolling on those corridors, have been asked to explain the lapses and have been sending to district lines by me," said the DCP. He added that the personnel concerned were from the police stations of Saket, Malviya Nagar, Hauz Khas, Greater Kailash and Ambedkar Nagar.

At least two people were killed and eight injured after unknown assailants opened fire on a cafe in Cairo, on Sunday.The Anadolu Agency quoted Health Ministry spokesman Khaled Mujahed, as saying, that the shooting took place in the al-Amirya village, west of Cairo.According to a security source, two masked gunmen, involved in the incident, were on a motorbike when opened fire on cafe-goers in the village and fled.The injured were rushed to the hospital for medical assistance.No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.The Egyptian Police have launched a search operation to nab the culprits and are further investigating the matter.
At least six people, including women, were injured at a village here in a clash that broke out between two groups allegedly over a property dispute, police said today. The incident occurred at Antwada village, under Khatoli police station limits, last evening, officials said. According to Station House Officer (SHO), Khatoli police station, A P Bhardwaj, last evening Mahipal and Sureshpal confronted each other over a land dispute. They were soon joined by others and a violent clash broke out with batons and stones being freely used, the SHO said. On being alerted, the police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control, he said. The injured people including Sureshpal, Bantu Devi, Mahipal, Sahender, Virender and Virender Singh, were shifted to a hospital. Bhardwaj said security has been stepped up in the village as a precautionary measure in view of the clash.
