Most parts of Punjab and Haryana reeled under cold weather conditions today as Adampur became the coldest place recording a minimum temperature of 3.2 degrees Celsius. The joint capital of the states, Chandigarh, recorded a low of 6.6 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal, a MeT department official said. In Haryana, Ambala, Hisar and Karnal recorded the minimum temperatures at 8 degrees, 5.1 degrees and 5.5 degrees Celsius, respectively. Narnaul, Rohtak and Bhiwani recorded 4 degrees, 7.7 degrees and 5 degrees Celsius, respectively, the official said. In Punjab, Amritsar experienced cold weather conditions at 4.5 degrees Celsius, while Ludhiana and Patiala shivered at 8.3 degrees and 8.4 degrees Celsius, respectively, the MeT said.
