In reply to Congress president, Sonia Gandhi's daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's barb aimed at him for practicing 'low-level' of politics on Monday, Modi had tweeted, "I belong to lower caste of society, that is why they think my politics is 'low-level' politics." However, leaders from rival political parties slammed Modi saying he is linking caste with politics for no reason.
Amethi, May 06 (ANI): AAP candidate form Amethi, Kumar Vishwas on Tuesday alleged that the district administration asked his family to leave Amethi. He further said that the administration is trying to save Rahul Gandhi's sinking ship and are trying to make him win. Vishwas said that police came outside his house late Monday night asking all family members who are not voters of Amethi to leave or else they will be arrested.

Hoshiarpur, May 06 (ANI): BSP candidate from Hoshiarpur constituency in Punjab, Bhagwan Singh Chauhan on Tuesday declared a reward of one crore rupees for beheading Yoga guru Ramdev over his alleged anti-Dalit remarks targeting Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi. Ramdev had commented that Gandhi had visited households of Dalit community for picnics and honeymoon. The Election Commission had issued revised guideline to stop these 'malicious' statements and said the perpetrators of such comments would not be allowed to hold campaigning programmes. Two separate FIRs were filed against Ramdev, including one by police in Uttar Pradesh.

New Delhi, May 05 (ANI): Law Minister Kapil Sibal on Monday lashed out at Narendra Modi for using Lord Ram's picture on his stage during his Faizabad rally. He said that it is Modi's agenda to gain attention by using communal language, or by showing ram mandir, or by talking about Bangladeshi. Sibal said that the BJP has no morals and decency and that they are hungry for power and politics. Sibal said that the party is just concerned about the votes and nothing else. Gonda, May 05 (ANI): While addressing a rally in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi questioned the source of money spent on 'marketing and advertisement' done for Narendra Modi. Gandhi said that the Gujarat government spends half of the funds on rich industrialists and the rest goes to these advertisements, which in turn is leading to loss for the poor. He said that the tree parties, SP, BSP and BJP have spread casteism and communalism in the state and had not done anything for the state. New Delhi, May 05 (ANI): Supreme Court on Monday dismissed Congress leader Ashok Chavan's plea and stated that the Election Commission has the power to enquire into the paid news case and to disqualify Chavan for wrong declaration of election expenses. The SC directed the poll panel to probe against Chavan within 45 days. The complaint by the BJP leaders alleged that Chavan had showed just Rs 5,379 as the expenses on newspaper advertisements in his accounts filed before the commission. In the complaint filed on November 2009, it was specifically prayed to investigate the account of election expenses of Chavan under Section 10 A of the Peoples' Representation Act 1951.
