Amaravati (AP), May 23 (ANI): While speaking to ANI on Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Parliamentary elections results, Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party's (YSRCP) leader Ummareddy Venkateswarlu said, "Out of 175 Assembly seats, YSRCP is leading on 150 seats. People have confidence on Jaganmohan Reddy to lead the state."He further added, "Looking at the loot by N Chandrababu Naidu, the public doesn't want him to rule the state". He also made an announcement that YS Jaganmohan Reddy will take oath as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister on May 30.

NDA will win Assembly elections as well: Devendra Fadnavis

Mumbai, May 23 (ANI): Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday said that National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is a formidable alliance and will win 'Vidhan Sabha' (Assembly elections) election as well. He also took a jibe on Congress president Rahul Gandhi by saying, "Congress president Rahul Gandhi continued the Rafale issue even after Apex Court's verdict and Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report. The highest institution of the country has been disregarded by Rahul Gandhi and that is why people of the country have shown him his place." The LS polls were held in 7 phases from April 11 to May 19. According to Election Commission of India, 67.11 percent voters exercised their right to franchise, which is highest turnout in Lok Sabha polls since Independence.

LS results: Credit for victory goes to PM Modi, says Ram Madhav

New Delhi, May 23 (ANI): The ongoing counting of Lok Sabha elections indicates storming 'Ghar Wapsi' of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Party's National General Secretary Ram Madhav on Thursday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the victory. "This is going to be historic, unprecedented mandate for PM Modi, this has become a people's election and their one and only choice is Prime Minister Modi, the resulted indicate the very same thing that people have decided that they needed Modi again. The credit for this victory goes to Prime Minister Modi," said Madhav. The LS polls were held in 7 phases from April 11 to May 19. Prakash Raj dismisses exit poll predictions, called it 'totally bloated'

Bengaluru (Karnataka), May 23 (ANI): Actor Prakash Raj, who is contesting as an independent candidate from Bengaluru Central Lok Sabha constituency, on Thursday dismissed the exit polls, which projected a comfortable majority for the BJP-led NDA in the general elections, saying it was 'totally bloated'. "I think that the exit polls are totally bloated because I personally have travelled and been in touch with the people. The disillusionment of the people on the NDA's performance will be the result," he told ANI. Raj claimed that the ensuing Lok Sabha elections will throw up a hung Parliament, as BJP will not be able to gain a majority. Talking about his electoral prospects, the actor said, "As far as my candidature is concerned, I started very late. I announced my candidature in January and campaigned in the last three months. I am confident that BJP will win over 350 seats, says Pankaj Singh

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), May 23 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh's son Pankaj Singh on Thursday said the BJP will win 350 seats in the House because of the works that the Prime Minister-led NDA government has done in the last five years. People laughing at Opposition over EVM allegations: Harsh Vardhan

New Delhi, May 23 (ANI): Union Minister of Science and Technology Harsh Vardhan on Thursday took a jibe at the opposition parties over their allegations on discrepancies in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), saying people having less knowledge of technology were laughing at them. He also said that the country wanted to see Narendra Modi as the prime minister again. "People are laughing at them (opposition parties). Even those who have less knowledge of technology are also laughing. All these people, especially the poor, want to see Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister again," he told ANI. Harsh Vardhan is the sitting MP from the high-prestige Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency. Recently 22 political parties moved the Election Commission of India demanding counting of VVPAT slips before the counting of EVMs. The polling body, however, rejected the opposition parties' demand on the basis of the impracticability of its implementation and cited the Supreme Court's order on the subject.
