Theni (Tamil Nadu), Apr 13 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed a public rally in Tamil Nadu's Theni. While addressing the gathering PM Modi continued his attack on Congress party. Targeting Congress' NYAY scheme, he said that all the main opposition party has done is injustice to the nation for 60 long years. "Congress speaks about NYAY. It means they agree that they did injustice to the nation for 60 long years. So, it is ANYAY," said PM Modi. "Who will do Nyay to governments of the great MGR Ji, which were dismissed by Congress just because one family didn't like those leaders? Who will do Nyay to victims of Bhopal Gas Tragedy, among the worst environment disasters in India. That too happened under Congress," added the Prime Minister.
Patna (Bihar), Apr 13 (ANI): While speaking to ANI, Union Minister of Law and Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad hit at All India United Democratic Front Assam Dhubri (AIUDF) chief Badruddin Ajmal for his remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prasad said, "Who is Badruddin Ajmal to throw PM Modi out of this country? What is his status? People who help intruders are now commenting on country's favourite Prime Minister. They have learnt all this from Rahul Gandhi. They are speaking only abusive languages. Fight in elections and then, win or lose. Modi ji will become Prime Minister again and we know the opposition's irritation. But the way Rahul Gandhi speaks false and abusive language against PM Modi every day and other people are learning it from them."
Theni (Tamil Nadu), Apr 13 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed a public rally in Tamil Nadu's Theni. While addressing the gathering he said that BJP government has fulfilled farmers' decades' old demand of Minimum Support Price (MSP) of 1.5 times a cost. The Prime Minister also highlighted the irrigation problem faced by the farmers of Tamil Nadu and assured them to conserve Vaigai River like river Ganges."For decades famers were demanding MSP at 1.5 times a cost we have fulfilled this demand. I am aware of the problem that farmers are facing in irrigation, we are looking to conserve the vaigai river just like the river Ganges," said PM Modi. Tamil Nadu will see polling during the second phase of voting across the whole country. The voting date for Tamil Nadu is on April 18. On this day, all the constituencies of the state will vote for the General elections 2019.
Rajouri (Jammu and Kashmir), Apr 13 (ANI): The Indian Army along with the civil administration celebrated Rajouri Day today. Rajouri Day is celebrated every year to pay homage to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives for liberation of Rajouri from the rebels and Pakistan Army personnel who had infiltrated from across the border in 1948. This day is also celebrated to mark when Indian Army recaptured Rajouri and free it from the clutches of rebels. Several bikers performed some eye catching and breathe taking stunts during the event. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Rajouri Yougal Kumar was also present in the event.
New Delhi, Apr 13 (ANI): While exclusively speaking to ANI, Congress leader Kapil Sibal hit back at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Sakshi Maharaj over his threatening remarks to voters. He said, "It is a violation of Representation of People's Act. It is a corrupt practice in itself and this is what they do. Mathura (Uttar Pradesh), Apr 13 (ANI): Asked about Union Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi's statement on Muslim voters, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Hema Malini on Saturday said that one must help everyone irrespective of whether the person votes for them or not. "On Triple Talaq issue many minority community women support us but even if they don't, you have to help everybody, doesn't matter who voted for us and who did not. This kind of feeling doesn't come to me. Everybody is different," the BJP leader told ANI.
Theni (Tamil Nadu), Apr 13 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that none of the opposition parties backed the prime ministerial candidature of Congress president Rahul Gandhi who was projected for the top job by DMK president MK Stalin. PM Modi reasoned that since every opposition leader was eying the PM post, they didn't back Rahul's candidature. "Some days ago DMK Supremo projected the 'naamdar' as the PM candidate when no one was ready to accept it, not even their 'mahamilawati' friends, why? Because they all are in the line to be PM and dream of the post," said PM Modi.
Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Apr 13 (ANI): The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) instructed contractors and labours to not to work in daytime in order to tackle the rising temperature during summers. Speaking to ANI, Medical Officer of Health at the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Bhavin Solanki said, "We have given instructions to contractors and labours to not work in daytime if the temperature rises above 45 degree C."
Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh), Apr 13 (ANI): Ahead of 'Ram Janamostav' or 'Ram Navami', Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya is all decked up to celebrate the festival. The devotees took a holy dip in Saryu River to mark the celebration. 'Ram Navami' is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of lord Rama. According to Hindu holy book Ramayana, Ayodhya is the birth place of lord Rama.
Patna (Bihar), Apr 13 (ANI): Former Bihar chief minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Rabri Devi on Friday claimed that her party's former ally and state's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar wanted to come back to the grand alliance as he saw Tejashvi Yadav as Bihar CM in 2020, and himself as PM candidate. Rabri added that political advisor and Janata Dal (United) leader Prashant Kishor had even met her five times after the alliance had ended in July 2017.

PM Modi paid his respects for the people who were killed in the genocide. "We observe today, the solemn occasion, of the completion of 100 years since the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. I pay my respects to the martyrs of this incident," PM Modi said at a public rally in Tamil Nadu's Theni.
Balrampur (Chhattisgarh), Apr 13 (ANI): Locals of a village in Chhattisgarh's Balrampur are facing water scarcity and no one has listened to their plea till now. For last 4 months, they've no clean and pure drinking water. There is used to be a hand pump in the village but it has been not working for last 4 months. Now, the villagers are bound to share the same pond with animals to survive. The government has not taken any action against it till now.

UK Prime Minister Theresa May has described the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar as a "shameful scar" on British Indian history but stopped short of a formal apology sought by a cross-section of Parliament in previous debates. In a statement, marking the 100th anniversary of the massacre, at the start of her weekly Prime Minister's Questions in the House of Commons, she reiterated the "regret" already expressed by the British Government. The massacre took place at Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar during the Baisakhi festival in April 1919 when the British Indian Army under the command of Colonel Reginald Dyer opened fire at a crowd staging a pro-independence demonstration, leaving scores dead.
Dakshina Kannada (Karnataka), Apr 13 (ANI): The annual 'Chendu' festival was celebrated at Sri Rajarajeshwari Temple in Polali village of Karnataka's Dakshina Kannada district. Hundreds of devotees took part in this annual event and played 'Chendu' representing their respected villages. In Kannada, 'Chendu' means ball so this festival is nothing but a football game. Traditionally, the football game represents the win of 'good over evil'. This festival is part of an annual temple festival, which goes on for a month during March-April. Watermelons are being offered to the deity during the five-day festival and then later sold to the devotees. Watermelon is an integral part of the festival.
Amroha (Uttar Pradesh), Apr 13 (ANI): A village in Uttar Pradesh is powered and lighted by solar lights. Now, solar panels have brought electricity in village Chakanwala Mustahkam in Amroha. Speaking to ANI, one of the villagers said, "Earlier, we used to face a lot of problems, even buying oil for lamps was a hard task for us but after solar panels brought electricity to our village, we are at ease."

The film has Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in lead role while two leading ladies Ananya Pandey and Tara Sutaria will make their debut with 'SOTY 2'. It is a sequel to 2012 'Student Of The Year' that marked the debut of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. 'SOTY 2' is directed by Punit Malhotra under the Dharma Productions of Karan Johar and will hit the theaters on May 10.
