Lt Gen KJS Dhillon requests students who are joining outfits to surrender

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), Apr 07 (ANI): Indian Army Lieutenant General KJS Dhillon, GOC-Chinar Corps requested the mothers and youth of Kashmir who are joining militants to surrender. Speaking to ANI, he said, "2 militants were killed in yesterday's Shopian encounter. One was a technical graduate and had joined militants on April 3. It takes me back to the point I've been repeating. My request to mothers of Kashmir is please don't let your children take this path. I would request all the students, boys who are joining outfits to surrender. And I would request the mother's specially to tell them to surrender."

PDP holds protest march against ban on Srinagar's National Highway

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), Apr 07 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (JKPDP) held protest march against the ban on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. Civilian movement has been restricted for 2 days a week. JKPDP chief Mehbooba Mufti said, "This is wrong. We would like to tell the government that you can't suppress Kashmiris like this. This is our state, these are our roads. We have the right to use them whenever we want". She added, "You saw that the students are facing a lot of problem due to it. I urge people not to accept the ban. Defy it, go wherever you want. We will approach the court against this ban."

Clash erupts over 'Biryani' serving during political meeting in UP's Muzaffarnagar

Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh), Apr 07 (ANI): Clash erupted between members of a political party allegedly over the serving of 'Biryani' at election meeting. The incident occurred in the Muzaffarnagar of Uttar Pradesh. Additional Superintendent of Police, Muzaffarnagar, Alok Kumar Sharma said, "During the serving of food in a political party programme, conflict erupted. Some fight also took place. Police reached at the place soon after getting the information and took control of the situation."

Watch: 5,000 Konyak women dance to set Guinness World Record in Nagaland

Mon (Nagaland), Apr 07 (ANI): In an attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the "Largest Traditional Konyak Dance display", around 5000 women of Konyak community performed at the local ground of Mon town in Nagaland on Friday. It was organised on the final day of Aoleang-cum-Mini Hornbill Festival 2019. Women dressed in their traditional attires danced to an enchanting ceremonial song invoking blessings on the people.

To celebrate World Health Day, NMCG organises cleaning of Yamuna Ghat in Delhi

New Delhi, Apr 07 (ANI): To celebrate World Health Day and to mark the beginning of 'Navratri', National Mission For Clean Ganga (NMCG) organised the cleaning of Yamuna Ghat at Kalindi Kunj in capital New Delhi on Sunday. Volunteers, especially college-going students, took part in hundreds in the cleanliness drive. Alongside 'Namami Gange' volunteers, students from Delhi University, Amity University, IP University among others as well as volunteers from Gautam Gambhir Foundation took part in the drive in large numbers. Excited at the turn out of students and youths in the drive to clean a Yamuna Ghat, Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, the Director-General of NMCG, highlighted the importance of youth joining the movement to rejuvenate the holy river. The students too were happy to take part in the cleanliness drive as they said it was high time to take initiatives to save the river on which millions of lives depend directly or indirectly. Google leaks pixel 3a on official website

New Delhi, Apr 07 (ANI): Google is probably finding it difficult to hide its secrets. The company has yet again spilt the beans on the long-rumoured lite version of its Pixel 3 smartphone. The third-generation flagship smartphone is expected to get a lite and possibly even cheaper variant. And now, the variant, dubbed Pixel 3a, showed up on the official Google Store webpage, The Verge reported. The listing has been taken down from the page but not before the prying eyes of the fans spotted it. Before removal, the Pixel 3a was listed in the Phones column with 'new' written on its side. The study published in the Journal 'Scientific Reports', also points out prevention for the same. "Neurosurgeons always look in the brain; cardiologists always look in the heart. This new study looked at both," said Martino, working in the field of circadian medicine. This study is first of its kind done on mice that test how cognition and mood are regulated by body clock and how pertinent brain regions are impaired in heart failure."Human patients with heart failure often have neurological conditions such as cognitive impairment and depression," said Martino.
