Mathura (UP), Apr 05 (ANI): Ahead of Lok Sabha election in the state, the Mathura police have registered First Information Report (F.I.R.) against Bollywood actor turned politician Hema Malini for violating the model code of conduct. According to Mathura Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Gyanendra Kumar Singh, the actress turned politician was booked along the organisers of the public meeting for breaking the model code of conduct during a rally.
Indore (Madhya Pradesh), Apr 05 (ANI): Lok Sabha speaker and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader Sumitra Mahajan on Friday declared that she will not contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, and added that she has made her party "tension free" which according to her was too "hesitant" to ask her about the same. Mahajan also said that since she has crossed the 75-year age mark - an unspoken rule for BJP leaders to not remain in active politics after crossing it - she has made the decision to contest the LS polls.

Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Apr 05 (ANI): A fire broke out in a container truck that was carrying two-wheelers in Aurangabad's Teesgaon intersection, in which 50 bikes were burnt down. The two-wheelers were being transported from Haridwar to Karnataka. Suddenly, smoke erupted from the container, after which the driver parked the truck on one side of the road. The fire became so intense that it became difficult to control the fire. After many hours, two fire tenders were able to overcome the fire. The cause of the fire is not known yet. A case has now been registered in the MIDC Waluj Police Station, Aurangabad.

New Delhi, Apr 05 (ANI): Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan will soon be seen on big screens with his new movie 'Angrezi Medium'. The actor recently got back from London, where he was undergoing medical treatment. Indian Film Critic Taran Adarsh shared the news on his twitter handle. The shooting for the film, which is directed by Homi Adajania, began in Udaipur on Friday and is being produced by Dinesh Vijan. 'Angrezi Medium' is the sequel to the 2017 hit film 'Hindi Medium', which starred Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar in the lead roles. Irrfan was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour in March 2018. On Wednesday, through Twitter, he thanked everyone for their affection and support.

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Sheila Dikshit, Haroon Yousuf and state incharge PC Chacko were also present in the meeting. Speaking to ANI, Congress leader PC Chacko said, "No discussion on alliance took place today. Senior leaders of Delhi were called by Rahul Gandhi twice earlier.
