Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh), Apr 05 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday sat on a protest over reported IT raids on Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidates and supporters in Vijayawada. While speaking to mediapersons, Naidu said, "Raids are being conducted on TDP leaders on instructions of PM. Once elections are announced everything has to be conducted under Election Commission of India (ECI) guidance. All parties should have equal opportunity, even one party they can't suppress, another party they can't support. I'm warning PM, if you do like this, you will have to pay heavy price. We are fighting to save democracy and India. Who are you? You are outgoing PM. I am even requesting the officers, don't listen to him, if you listen, you will also face serious consequences."
Saharanpur (UP), Apr 05 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday addressed a public rally in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur. While addressing the rally, he lashed out at Congress candidate from Saharanpur Imran Masood by invoking his 'boti-boti' remark. PM Modi said, "Rahul Gandhi has special love for some people. While they chant 'boti-boti', our response is 'beti-beti' as we want to work for the upliftment of our daughters. The Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to start in Uttar Pradesh in seven phases from April 11.
Nawada (Bihar), Apr 05 (ANI): Former chief minister of Bihar, Rabri Devi, allegedly played the caste card to woo the Yadav community, while campaigning for the wife of a rape convict Rajballabh Yadav. Rabri accused the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government of "maligning the image of Yadavs" by sending Rajballabh to jail. While campaigning for RJD's Lok Sabha candidate Vibha Devi, Rabri said, "They have tried to malign the image of Yadavs by falsely implicating Rajballabh and sending him to jail. I appeal to the people to vote for Vibha Devi and make her win the elections." A Patna court convicted Rajballabh and four others in a 2016 rape case of a minor in December, disqualifying him from contesting any election. RJD then fielded Rajballabh's wife Vibha Devi from the Nawada constituency in Bihar.
Amroha (Uttar Pradesh), Apr 05 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public rally in Uttar Pradesh's Amroha ahead of Lok Sabha elections. He took a jibe at opposition saying that whether it is Congress, SP or BSP, it is the subdued response to terrorism that some people have high spirits. He said, "Replying to terrorists in their own language is not being liked by some people. When India hits back at the enemy, some people here start crying. When Pakistan is being exposed in front of the world, these people start speaking in support of Pakistan."
New Delhi, Apr 05 (ANI): Congress took a jibe on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah over the blog written by senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani. National spokesperson of Congress, Randeep Surjewala said that PM Modi and Amit Shah have effectively come under the category of disobedient disciples. He said, "Yesterday, senior BJP leader and the guru of Modi ji and Amit Shah ji, Lal Krishna Advani, did stinging indictment of them, where he unmasked the egoistic character of both."

New Delhi, Apr 05 (ANI): Google appears to have taken spring cleaning a little too aggressively. After Google+ and Inbox, the company is also shutting down its Google Play Artist Hub at the end of this month. Google Play Artist Hub was launched in 2012 and allowed smaller indie artists to upload and sell their music through the official Google Play store and Google Play Music service. New signups are no longer accepted on the service and existing members will not be able to upload or edit their music as of April 30, The Verge reported. Artists will receive their final reports and payments from the service on May 31. By July 31, these reports will also be deleted entirely. The demise of the service arrives as Google plans to push its main music offering, YouTube Music. Google has also announced that it will eventually replace Google Play Music with YouTube Music. Artists can sell music through YouTube partners.
Patna (Bihar), Apr 05 (ANI): Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav in his upcoming book said that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar wanted to rejoin 'Mahagathbandhan' (grand alliance). Speaking to ANI on this matter, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said, "I say this with full responsibility, Nitish Kumar made many attempts to get back and ally with us, he tried many different approaches, that also within six months of returning to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA)."
Changlang (Andhra Pradesh), Apr 05 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh ahead of Lok Sabha elections. Addressing the rally, he said, "5 years back Northeast was undergoing conflict. There was no sign of development. Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), Apr 05 (ANI): A massive protest and scuffle erupted between prisoners and security personnel in Central Jail of Srinagar. This incident occurred after jail inmates objected to carry out repair work inside a barrack. Reason of the scuffle is yet to be ascertained. Further investigation is underway. Kadapa (Andhra Pradesh), Apr 05 (ANI): Kadapa District Police raided properties of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Member of Parliament (MP) CM Ramesh in Andhra Pradesh's Potladurthi. Police reached his residence at around 6:00 am in the morning. The search operation continued for almost an hour. TDP alleged that the central government is holding vindictive raids against them.
Bengaluru, Apr 05 (ANI): Two people lost their lives after a portion of an under-construction building collapsed in Bengaluru's Yeshwanthpur around 4 am on Friday. A team of Karnataka Fire and Emergency Services rescued all the five labourers, who were trapped under the debris. However, out of the five, two lost their lives, while the rest are undergoing treatment in a hospital. More details are awaited.
Kanchikacherla (Andhra Pradesh), Apr 05 (ANI): Police seized liquor worth Rs 50,000 from the residence of K Venkat Rao in Andhra Pradesh's Moguluru village. A case has been filed against him and he has been taken into custody. Further investigation is underway in this case.
Bulandshahr (Uttar Pradesh), Apr 05 (ANI): Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, while addressing a public meeting in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said, "Nirav Modi, Vijay Mallya and Mehul Choksi didn't leave India till Congress government was in power. When they saw that this government has gone out of power and a new 'chowkidaar' has come, a 'chokkana' (alert) chowkidar, they fled from India to other countries."
Chintalapudi (Andhra Pradesh), Apr 05 (ANI): District Collector of Andhra Pradesh's West Godavari district, Praveen Kumar inspected election materials which were stored in a strong room at Chintalapudi junior college. He directed all the officials to secure Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPATs) and to chart out a prior plan for proper distribution of electoral material.
Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Apr 05(ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and state Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu on Friday paid tributes to the four BSF personnel who lost their lives in an encounter with Maoists in Kanker district yesterday. The incident occurred after the domination patrol of 114 Battalion of BSF deployed in Pakhanjur, Kanker, was targeted by the Naxal with IEDs and fire.
Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh), Apr 05 (ANI): A case has been registered against former Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Umar Ali Khan and his brother over violation of model code of conduct in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur on Thursday. They were also booked for getting into a fight with the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM). They had taken permission for public meeting for BSP candidate Haji Fazulrahman but instead conducted a rally in the area.
Musunuru (Andhra Pradesh), Apr 05 (ANI): Police confiscated a huge cache of liquor being illegally transported in a water tanker tractor in Musunuru village of Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. A local politician, one T Nageswar Rao, is alleged to be the owner of the tractor. Police have taken the tractor driver and three others into custody and a case has been filed in this connection. Musunuru police station officials seized as many as 1075 quarter bottles of liquor being transported in the water tanker from Gopavaram to Velupucherla.
Poonch (J-K), Apr 05 (ANI): One civilian was injured in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district after Pakistani troops violated ceasefire by targeting areas along Line of Control (LoC) on Thursday evening. Medical Superintendent of Poonch district hospital, Dr Shameem Bhati said, "Due to the heavy shelling that began in the evening, one injured civilian has been brought to the hospital. The 55-year-old has received injuries in the abdomen. He is undergoing treatment and if required we will refer him to Jammu."
Jamui (Bihar), Apr 05 (ANI): Residents of Dabil village in Khaira tehsil of Jamui Lok Sabha constituency will boycott the upcoming elections. They said that until and unless the road connecting their village is made they will not cast their vote. According to a local, "Things become worse during monsoon. We feel cheated". "We were hopeful in 2009. Bhudeo Choudhary became the MP and we had hoped he would do something about the development here. But he couldn't do anything. Then Modi ji came in 2014, Chirag Paswan became MP. We became even more hopeful. But it was a waste", said another local.
