6 dead, 1 injured after vehicle falls into gorge in JandK's Rajouri

Rajouri (JandK), Mar 31 (ANI): At least six people died and one person was injured after their vehicle fell into a gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Sunday. The incident happened in Darhal area of Rajouri. The injured person has been shifted to a nearby hospital.

Congress' decision is questionable: Sitaram Yechury on Rahul Gandhi contesting from Wayanad

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Mar 31 (ANI): While talking to ANI, CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury on Rahul Gandhi contesting from Wayanad said, "We are very clear, this election is an important one, that will decide whether a secular democracy will survive or not. Removing BJP is our priority. Coming here and fighting against LDF, what message this conveys, that Congress has to decide. Any party can decide which candidate will contest from which seat but what's the message they want to convey, they'll have to explain to people."

We will deliver NYAY scheme like we delivered MGNREGA: Rahul Gandhi

Vijayawada (AP), Mar 31(ANI): Speaking at a public rally in Andhra Pradesh's Vijayawada, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said that that if voted to power the party will deliver the NYAY (Nyuntam Aay Yojana) scheme like MGNREGA and other schemes. Rahul said, "In our manifesto we have taken a historic decision. We have decided to help eradicate poverty from India once and for all. We have decided Congress will conduct a surgical strike on poverty in 2019. We will give NYAY to people, NYAY is our non-violent weapon against poverty. I'm not Mr Narendra Modi, I don't lie. He said he'll give you Rs 15 Lakh, that was a lie. The government of India cannot give you Rs 15 Lakh in a bank account but government of India can give Rs 72,000 a year to the poorest people in India. We will deliver the NYAY scheme like we delivered MGNREGA, White Revolution and Green Revolution."

Vintage car rally held to aware voter's in Kanpur

Kanpur (UP), Mar 31 (ANI): A vintage car rally was organised by Kanpur District Administration and Election Commission for raising awareness of voters in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur on Sunday. Kanpur Divisional Commissioner Subhash Chandra and District Magistrate Kanpur Vijay Vishwash Pant along with IG Alok Singh flagged off the rally. More than a dozen old and precious cars took part in the rally. The center of attraction of the car rally was a Royal Cruiser. The vintage car rally was held to make people aware about voting.

Union Minister Ashwini Choubey misbehaves with official after alleged violation of MCC in Bihar's Buxar

Buxar (Bihar), Mar 31 (ANI): Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey was caught on camera while having a verbal altercation with a Sub District Magistrate (SDM) in Bihar's Buxar on Saturday. This incident took place after the official had stopped his convoy for allegedly violating the model code of conduct (MCC). In this video it can be seen that Choubey was sitting on the front seat of a vehicle and can be seen furiously reacting to the official who attempts to apprise the Union Minister about election commissions order.
