Fest showcasing Australia's indigenous culture, history culminates after 20 cities India run

New Delhi, Mar 31 (ANI): A performance by acclaimed Australian soprano and composer Deborah Cheetham marked the culmination of the Australia Fest in Delhi on Saturday that put the spotlight on the country's indigenous culture and history and had been showcased in over 20 Indian cities since September 2018. Cheetham shared her unique life story and the journey she has taken to discover her belonging by presenting 'Songs of Belonging' featuring Australian and Indian performers-pianist Toni Lalich, tabla master Pandit Ashish Sengupta and the members of Rubiks Collective, one of Australia's most dynamic contemporary art music ensembles. Man gives triple talaq to wife over phone in UP's Kannauj

Kannauj (Uttar Pradesh), Mar 31 (ANI): A woman from Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj has filed a police complaint alleging that her husband gave her 'triple talaq' because she had failed to provide him with a son. The mother of two girls has alleged that her husband had given her 'triple talaq' over phone. The woman alleged that her husband was unhappy with the situation and had gone to Saudi Arabia to seek employment. He pronounced 'triple talaq' to her over phone from that country. The woman told ANI, "My husband is in Saubi Arabia. He called me up and gave triple talaq to me. He always taunted me for giving birth to two girls. I want justice and an action to be taken against my husband." In-laws of the woman, she alleges, have also supported the man and asked her to leave the house. 'Mai Bhi Chowkidar Hoon' rally organised in Mumbai

Mumbai, Mar 31 (ANI): A large number of people gathered in Mumbai to support the campaign 'Mai Bhi Chowkidar Hoon'. A car rally was organised to spread the message about the campaign on the roads of Mumbai. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched 'Mai Bhi Chowkidar Hoon' campaign to counter Congress president Rahul Gandhi's 'Chowkidar Chor Hai' jibe. Construction project on mega drainage system underway in Srinagar

TV actor will pay maintenance money to wife with Rahul Gandhi's NYAY scheme in Indore

Indore (Madhya Pradesh), Mar 30 (ANI): A struggling television actor has told a local family court in Madhya Pradesh's Indore that he will pay maintenance to his estranged wife and daughter with the money he gets from the Congress party proposed minimum income guarantee scheme, Nyuntam Aay Yojana (NYAY). The family court had ordered TV actor Anand Sharma to pay an interim monthly maintenance amount of Rs 4,500 to his wife who have been living separately for some time now. A dispute between the couple is pending in court. He performs small roles in TV serials and earns Rs 5,000-Rs 6,000 per month. He told the court his financial condition is not such that he could make regular payments to his wife. He said he will do it after getting benefits under Congress's NYAY scheme.
