Kishtwar (J and K), Mar 27 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir (J and K) police on Tuesday made public the pictures of seven active terrorists and urged people to help in nabbing them. The pictures were released in Kishtwar district. Kishtwar's SP Shakti Kumar Pathak said, "People should be aware about militants who are wanted and those who wish to inform us about them can contact us. Informant's identity will be kept secret."
Panaji (Goa), Mar 27 (ANI): Two-third MLAs of the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) split from the party in Goa and joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state capital. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant was present during the event. Sawant said that the merger of MGP with the BJP will help in stabilising the government.
Mumbai, Mar 27 (ANI): Fugitive economic offender Nirav Modi's paintings, which were seized by ED officials, on Tuesday, raised Rs 55 crore in an auction in Mumbai. An untitled artwork by VS Gaitonde, which was seized from Modi's premises, was sold for Rs 22 crore. Another painting depicting Maharaja of Travancore and his younger brother was sold for Rs 14 crore. The money raised from the auction will be handed over to the Income tax department. 55 out of the total 68 paintings in Modi's possession were sold in the auction.
New Delhi, Mar 27 (ANI): A new male birth control pill passed tests of safety and tolerability when healthy men used it daily for a month, a recent study has found. According to researchers, the pills also produced hormone responses consistent with effective contraception. The experimental male oral contraceptive is called 11-beta-methyl-19-nortestosterone dodecylcarbonate, or 11-beta-MNTDC. Among men receiving 11-beta-MNTDC, the average circulating testosterone level dropped as low as in androgen deficiency, but the participants reportedly did not experience any severe side effects. Wang said drug side effects were few mild and included fatigue, acne or headache in four to six men each. Five men reported mildly decreased sex drive, and two men described mild erectile dysfunction, but sexual activity was not decreased, she said. Furthermore, no participant stopped taking the drug because of side effects, and all passed safety tests.
Mumbai, Mar 27 (ANI): Pakistan born Asif Karadia who is living in Mumbai for the last 54 years, heaved a sigh of relief, as he will get the Indian citizenship soon. Karadia won a case in the Bombay High Court after the central government agreed to grant him citizenship. Karadia was born in Karachi, Pakistan and came to India at age of two when his family migrated here.
New Delhi, Mar 26 (ANI): Two minors lost their lives in a fire that broke out in a four-storey building in south Delhi's Shaheen Bagh on Tuesday. The fire that broke out in Abul Fazal Enclave in the Shaheen Bagh locality is presumed to be due to a short circuit. Deputy Commissioner of Police South East Chinmoy Biswal said, "We received a PCR call about the fire around 1.10 pm in the afternoon. Police teams, PCR vans and six fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the fire within some time. Two children were trapped in the smoke in the building's first floor. Even though they were rescued and shifted to hospital they were declared dead. The real cause of the fire will be ascertained only after forensic inspection is completed."
Kanchipuram (Tamil Nadu), Mar 26 (ANI): In a shocking incident, six workers died while cleaning a septic tank at an apartment in Kanchipuram district in Tamil Nadu. The incident took place after they inhaled the poisonous gases while cleaning the septic tank.

Jagdalpur (Chhattisgarh), Mar 26 (ANI): Four Naxals were killed in an encounter with security forces on Tuesday. Inspector General of Police of the Bastar region in Chhattisgarh, Vivekanand Sinha said, "The naxals fired on the CRPF team when the Cobra jawans retaliated. The encounter continued for at least 30-45 minutes. During search operation bodies of four naxals were found in the region. The troops also found one INSAS, two 303 rifles and some country made weapons during the search operation."
Baramulla (J-K), Mar 26 (ANI): A day after Pakistan agreed to establish a corridor that will allow Hindu pilgrims from India to Sharda Peeth, an ancient temple in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, JKPDP chief Mehbooba Mufti said, "Pakistan has made a statement that they are ready to open Sharda Peeth. Our Kashmiri Pandits always wanted to worship there. If this happens then it is very good for our Kashmiri Pandit brothers and also for Jammu and Kashmir." Further speaking on confiscation of properties of Hurriyat leaders, Mufti said, "I believe that sealing properties and confiscating properties will not lead to anything. We have to find solution for Kashmir issue."
Bhadohi (Uttar Pradesh), Mar 26 (ANI): Union Cabinet Minister of Textiles, Smriti Irani took jibe on Congress in Uttar Pradesh. New Delhi, Mar 26 (ANI): The hunger strike by Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union (JNUSU) against the university's new admission policy has entered its ninth day on Tuesday. Large number of students is joining the protest. Students are demanding that the university should implement reservations, cheaper fee structure for all courses and deprivation points will be provided to give opportunity to study for students. Last night protest intensified after students allegedly tried to barge in Vice Chancellors' residence.
New Delhi, Mar 26 (ANI): Ahead of Lok Sabha elections, Congress president Rahul Gandhi announced to roll out a monthly income guarantee scheme for poorest families, where he said that if Congress comes to power, poorest families will get Rs 12,000 per month. But soon after his announcement, he started getting backlashed from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and from NITI Aayog. On which, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said, "NITI Aayog is in BJP's control. They're like a caged parrot. We did what we said. We did NREGA, waived off farmers' loan, brought compulsory education and also brought security schemes. We will do everything in future too. BJP has not fulfilled any promise."

Greater Noida (UP), Mar 26 (ANI): A massive fire broke out at a thermocol factory in the industrial area of Kasna site 5 in Greater Noida on Tuesday. At least six fire tenders rushed to the spot to bring the fire under control. No casualties have been reported yet. Fire fighting operation is underway. The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Mar 26 (ANI): Former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan slammed Congress president Rahul Gandhi for making false promises to the farmers of the state. He said, "Rahul ji is the biggest liar in the world. He is the same Rahul Gandhi, who said that he will waive off loans up to Rs 2 lakh of all farmers in Madhya Pradesh and if the loan is not waived off in 10 days, and then we will remove the chief minister. So according to that so far, at least 10 chief ministers should have been removed."

Patna (Bihar), Mar 26 (ANI): Supporters of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP RK Sinha staged protest outside Patna airport upon the arrival of Union Law and Justice Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. Supporters were shouting slogans, "Ravi Shankar Prasad, go back! RK Sinha zindabad!". Prasad was given the ticket from Patna Saheb amid the speculations of RK Sinha getting the same ticket.
