Governor of Goa is acting at behest of PM Modi: PC Chacko

New Delhi, Mar 19 (ANI): While speaking on the issue of formation of government in Goa after the demise of Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar, Congress leader PC Chacko said, "There is a real crisis in Goa, the governor of Goa is acting at the behest of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government. This is the kind of unwelcome, unauthorised interference in the independence of the governor. When the new government is given the responsibility the question before the governor and the assembly is that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) do not enjoy the majority even if they invited by the government. Governor should have to say that prove the majority on the floor of the house there is a letter from the Congress PCC president before the governor that we are the single largest party and we should be invited, but democratic norms are being overlooked, simply the governor is submitting to the political dictates of the BJP Prime Minister."
