Govt makes concrete bunkers for safety of locals living near LoC

Rajouri (Jammu and Kashmir), Mar 18 (ANI): Government is building concrete bunkers for people living near Line of Control (LoC) in the wake of continuous ceasefire violation by Pakistan. The safe shelter are provided by Central and state Government. India-Pakistan standoff results in loss of many luves and livestocks during the times of shelling. Aijaz Asad, DDC, Rajouri said that central government has found a permanent solution for people living near border areas.

" Digambar sahab (Digambar Kamat, former Chief Minister of Goa) will not leave the party; we have no doubts about it. We have full faith. He is a senior leader, also an ex-CM. It is BJP that spreads rumours," Kavlekar told ANI.

NCP leader DP Tripathi tells Congress, RJD to back off from Katihar LS seat in Bihar

New Delhi, Mar 17 (ANI): Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader DP Tripathi on Sunday said that the party would not let go the one Lok Sabha seat it has in Bihar, and demanded Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress to not field their candidates on the Katihar Lok Sabha seat. "We had 1 seat in Katihar and that's all we're asking for. Soon we will announce our candidate from Katihar. It's our seat. So what if Tariq Anwar has joined Congress? It is not his personal property, Katihar was our seat. Congress has to decide," Tripathi told ANI.

Over 150 bikes gutted in godown fire in Maharashtra's Solapur

Solapur (Maharashtra), Mar 17 (ANI): Around 150-200 seized two-wheelers were gutted in fire after a godown in Maharashtra's Solapur caught fire. The fire was later doused with the help of five fire tenders.

Minor girl gang raped in UP's Moradabad, 4 arrested

Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh), Mar 17 (ANI): In a horrific incident, a minor girl in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad was allegedly gang raped by four men. All four have been arrested by the police. The incident took place when the 16-year-old was leaving her house to use a nearby toilet, where the men abducted her and gang raped her in the field. The police was fortunately on patrolling and reached the spot to arrest the culprits after the girl screamed for help.

Vote Awareness Election campaigns kick start in Bengaluru and Andhra Pradesh

An impressive art exhibition was also held for convincing people to vote. The awareness campaign took place at the famous Cubbon Park. Another voter awareness election campaign was conducted in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. Badminton player PV Sindhu also joined the campaign. A bike rally took place so as to raise awareness about voting among voters. Bike rally was also organised by the District Collector.

"JD (U) will contest on LS constituencies of Valmiki Nagar, Sitamarhi, Jhanjharpur, Siwan, Bhagalpur, Kishanganj, Supaul, Katihar, Munger, Nawada, Jehanabad, Nalanda, Katihar, Gopalganj, Madhepura, Banka, Gaya, Karakat and Jehanabad", said Vashisht Narain Singh. "BJP will contest on Lok Sabha constituencies of Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Begusarai, Patna Sahib, Patliputra, Madhubani, Araria, East Champaran, West Champaran, Sasaram, Saran, Arrah, Buxar, Aurangabad, Sheohar, Ujiarpur, Maharajganj", he added. BJP, JD (U) and LJP announced seat sharing in Bihar. After the three party presidents meet, they announced that BJP and JD (U) will contest on 17 seats each while LJP will contest on 6 seats.

Job fair held in J-K's Doda

Doda (J-K), Mar 17 (ANI): District Development Commissioner of Doda, Dr. Doifode Sagar, today inaugurated a job fair organised by the District Employment and Counseling Centre. More than 500 students took part in it, which was organised in Doda district of J-K. Dozens of stalls were set up in the fair to create awareness about self-employment schemes. Interacting with job seekers, the DDC exhorted upon them to avail employment/self-employment schemes being implemented by different departments. He complimented the employment department for roping in private companies working within the district to provide employment to the youth.

Chinese Embassy celebrates Holi

New Delhi, Mar 17 (ANI): Chinese Ambassador to India Luo Zhaohui participated in Holi celebrations in Delhi today. He celebrated this festival at the Chinese Embassy in Delhi. Almost everybody in the embassy enjoyed Holi by playing with colours. "It is a great way to connect with people with this festival of colours", said Ambassador Luo Zhaohui. He also spoke on matter of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar while talking to ANI.
