PM Modi on how govt will use funds from privatisation, asset monetisation

India dispatches COVID-19 vaccine doses to West Africa's Cote d'Ivoire

Mumbai, Feb 25 (ANI): Keeping up with the commitment to assist countries in fight against pandemic, India on February 25 dispatched the first batch of COVID-19 vaccines to Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, country in West Africa from Mumbai. Over 25 nations have already received 'Made in India' vaccines and 49 more countries will be receiving them in coming days. India has been at the forefront of the global vaccine deliveries.

Shrivastava, Police commissioner of Delhi said that in order to maintain peace in North East Delhi, Delhi Police has organised many programs with different communities. The grievances of all the complainants were recorded by the police and a total of 755 cases were registered. Over 1800 hundred people were arrested by the police. Union Cabinet recommends President's rule in Puducherry

New Delhi, Feb 24 (ANI): Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar has recommended President's rule in Puducherry, days after V Narayanasamy's resignation from chief ministerial post. "In Puducherry, the CM has resigned and nobody has claimed to form the govt and therefore the LG has recommended suspending the 14th Assembly. Now, our approval will be sent to the President. After his approval, the Assembly will stand dissolved," said Javadekar during Union Cabinet briefing on February 24.

New Delhi, Feb 24 (ANI): Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on February 24 informed that cabinet has approved Production Linked Incentive Scheme for IT Hardware. Target segments include laptops, tablets, all-in-one PCs and servers. "Scheme which was announced in April during the height of COVID-19 delivered production worth Rs 35,000 crores, created 22,500 jobs and brought around Rs 1,300 investment," said RS Prasad.

People above 60 years will be vaccinated from Mar 01: Govt

New Delhi, Feb 24 (ANI): Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar during a press briefing on February 24 informed that people above 60 years of age and those above 45 years of age with comorbidities will start getting vaccinated against COVID-19 from March 01, while adding that vaccination at government centres will be free, but those getting vaccinated at private centres will have to pay. "The amount they would need to pay will be decided by the health ministry within 2-3 days as they are in discussion with manufacturers and hospitals," he added. The vaccination will start from March 01 at 10,000 government and over 20,000 private vaccination centres.
