Nandan said, "As a nation, we are a large consumer of onions. Proactive steps have been taken constantly to augment the production of onions. But from the 2nd week of September, there's been a steady increase in the relatively stable prices." "We have taken some steps to counter that. UP records 2,298 new COVID cases, recovery percentage improves to 92.47%

Lucknow (UP), Oct 23 (ANI): Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary (Health) Amit Mohan Prasad on October 23 informed that Uttar Pradesh has recorded 2,298 cases in last 24 hours. He also said that for the past 36 days the state is recording decrease in active infection cases of COVID-19. In last 24 hours 3,025 people have been recovered from the invisible virus. The recovery percentage has been increased in Uttar Pradesh to 92.47 per cent, he added.

Incessant rainfall shoots up onion prices in parts of country
