Kullu (Himachal Pradesh), Mar 11 (ANI): Traditional Holika Dahan concluded in Batala village of Kullu. Like every year, this year too, the traditional festival was celebrated with great gaiety. The celebrations started on March 09. The final day of celebrations ended with traditional dance performances.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Mar 11 (ANI): Amid political turmoil in Madhya Pradesh and Jyotiraditya Scindia's resignation from Congress, one of the party leaders, Shobha Oza said that they will prove majority on the floor of the house and even BJP MLAs are in touch with them. While speaking to mediapersons, Shobha Oza said, "We will prove majority on the floor of the house. We are not short of numbers. All the Congress MLAs who are in Bengaluru were being misled, they are with us. Even BJP MLAs are in touch with us. We are 100% confident that our government will remain." Congress MLAs will meet Chief Minister Kamal Nath at his residence shortly.
Jalandhar (Punjab), Mar 11 (ANI): One person died in a road accident which took place on Amritsar-Jalandhar Highway. Around 15 others received severe injuries in the incident. The vehicle in which people were travelling, lost control and hit an elephant. Injured were shifted to the hospital immediately. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Mar 11 (ANI): Day after Jyotiraditya Scindia tendered resignation from Congress, party MLA Arjun Singh said that former's move will not affect anything. While speaking to mediapersons, Arjun Singh said, "Be carefree. Congress and Kamal Nath's government will remain. You will see on 16th (of March), numbers (of MLAs) will stay the same. Him (Jyotiraditya Scindia) leaving doesn't affect anything, days of Rajas-Maharajas are long gone. Nothing will happen. Everyone will come to us, with Kamal Nath ji and with Congress. " Jyotiraditya Scindia offered resignation letter to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi. His resignation came amid political turmoil in Madhya Pradesh on March 10.
Doda (JandK), Mar 11 (ANI): In the backdrop of threat from the deadly coronavirus, Doda district administration is running 24X7 control rooms and is providing training to the village heads to create awareness and teach people about the precautions required to be taken. 24X7 control rooms have doctors, paramedics and administrative staff. District Development Commissioner (DDC) Dr Sagar D Doifode said that the administrative machinery is ready to deal with any situation and is following the standard operating procedure laid down by Department of Health, Government of India and J-K administration.

New Delhi, Mar 11 (ANI): Risk of developing childhood anxieties and emotional disorders are linked with persistent sleep difficulties during the first 12 months of life, indicates recent research. The research was published online in the journal, Archives of Disease in Childhood. Based on their findings, poor infant sleepers should be monitored for mental health issues in later childhood, advise the researchers. Disturbed sleep patterns were associated with heightened risks of childhood anxiety and emotional issues, the analysis showed. The emotional disorder includes any of the following: separation anxiety; social phobia; agoraphobia; obsessive-compulsive disorder; specific phobias; panic disorder; post-traumatic stress; generalised anxiety; depression; or bipolar disorder. Infants whose sleep problems were persistent and severe were also more than twice as likely to have separation anxiety, to fear getting hurt (physically), and to be more anxious generally by the age of 10.
Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh), Mar 11 (ANI): Holi was celebrated with warmth and kindness in an old age home of UP's Kanpur. The administration of the old age home celebrated the festival of colours with senior citizens. Colours was applied to the faces of oldies and delicacies were served. Being away from home and family, some senior citizens shared their experience with ANI. One old lady said, "We are very happy. People keep coming here."
Imphal (Manipur), Mar 11 (ANI): 'Yaoshang' festival was celebrated with full fervour in Imphal on March 10. A unique feather in Manipuri culture, 'Yaoshang' celebrations began on full moon day. Young and old came together to celebrate the festival with great pomp and gaiety. In evening, a traditional Yaoshang (a small thatch hut) was burnt before prayers by local priests. Devotees sang devotional songs and danced together. The annual festival is celebrated for 5 days.
Lahaul-Spiti (Himachal Pradesh), Mar 11 (ANI): Border Roads Organisation (BRO) carried out snow clearing operation on National Highway 3 (Koksar to Rohtang Pass) in Lahaul and Spiti district, on March 10. The region has received fresh snowfall last week. The temperature went down by several notches in different districts of Himachal Pradesh. The minimum temperature was recorded at -7 degree celcius.
New Delhim, Mar 10 (ANI): Special Secretary in the Union Health Ministry, Sanjeeva Kumar, on March 10 informed about the latest development in number of cases of the dreadful Coronavirus. He said, "The total number of positive cases is now 50. Of these 34 are Indian nationals and 16 are citizens of Italy. There has been no death in the country due to coronavirus so far."
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Mar 10 (ANI): Congress leader Shobha Oza on March 10 stated that the Congress party have the numbers to prove the majority in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly. Adding on it, she further said the Kamal Nath-led government has no threat and we will prove the majority in the Assembly. She said, "Meeting (legislative party meet) was good. All Congress MLAs, including independents, were present. We have the numbers, we'll fight this together. MLAs who were rounded up were told that Scindia has to demand a Rajya Sabha seat so they need to come together. But when the talks of him (Jyotiraditya Scindia) going to BJP started, these MLAs became angry. They are all in contact with the Chief Minister. The government has no threat. We will prove the majority in the Assembly."

"I will take action according to the established procedure of the state Assembly," Assembly Speaker NP Prajapati told media persons. This comes after Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia resigned from the party earlier in the day.

Former chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan and MP from Damoh, Prahlad Patel, were present at the meeting. Other senior leaders of the party were also present at the meeting.
