Geneva (Switzerland), Feb 26 (ANI): Secretary (West) of Ministry of External Affairs, Vikas Swarup spoke at UNHRC in Geneva. He said, "Pakistan is the epicentre of global terrorism. It's more than a little ironical that the nation that has become the world's leading exporter of terror and violence seeks to lecture others about human rights. Let me set the records straight, Jammu and Kashmir was, is and will remain an integral part of India." He further said, "Despite Pakistan's best efforts, over decades to destabilize the state through externally-instigated terror and a campaign of canards and untruth, the situation on the ground is quite normal."
New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Congress general secretary, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra appealed to people of Delhi to not to indulge in any violence and to maintain peace. While speaking to mediapersons, she said, "I appeal to the people of Delhi to not to indulge in violence, exercise caution and maintain peace. We have told our workers in Uttar Pradesh to do all they can to maintain peace if violence spreads there."
Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Feb 26 (ANI): A visually impaired student from Thiruvananthapuram will write his exam with the help of computer. Haroon Kareem, a student of Class 10, will become first to write exams using the computer in Kerala. The Speaker of Kerala Legislative Assembly, P Sreeramakrishnan assured Kareem that he will write the exams in the way he wants. Speaking to ANI, Kareem said, "Since last 2 years I have done all my class activities using my computer. Advantage of using computer is that we can directly interact with our teachers. If we take notes in Braille script it is challenging to interact with normal people or teachers. But if I am doing it on computer, it is understandable for everyone." Similar facility has been given to visually impaired students in other the states, but the move has been taken by Kerala for the first time.
New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Delhi Court ordered police to ensure safe passage for injured to the hospital after violence in North-East district of Delhi claims lives of 18 people. Additional DCP (North) of Delhi Police, Dinesh K Gupta said, "There were 4 bodies and 20 injured at a hospital in Chand Bagh. We had to shift them to another hospital as per High Court orders. All the victims have been shifted to another hospital now, so that they can get proper medical treatment. We will take strict actions against miscreants." DCP North-East, Ved Prakash Surya said, "We are holding flag march and we controlled the situation. Now the situation is normal. We are going to see the place from where we got the call of arson."
Srinagar (J and K), Feb 26 (ANI): While speaking to ANI in Srinagar on February 26, the Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen KJS Dhillon said, "Indian Army in conjunction with the other security forces like J and K Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and other agencies including the civil administration of central and state government work together as a team." "The incidents which you refer be it Pulwama attack, abrogation of Article 370, the situation has improved with each passing day," he added.
New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): As the world continues to reel under fear of deadly outbreak of coronavirus, Indian Air Force's massive C-17 Globemaster military aircraft departed to Chinese city of Wuhan to deliver relief material in hour of need. Military aircraft will also evacuate stranded Indians. PM Modi had expressed solidarity with China in this grave moment of adversity. Around 80,239 cases have been confirmed globally, according to World Health Organization report. In the past 24 hours, countries including Afghanistan, Bahrain, Iraq and Oman have reported cases of COVID-19. The virus has spread to over 24 countries since December after it first case originated from China's Wuhan city.

He said, "As there is peace and normalcy in the Valley, Pakistan is trying to disrupt it and trying to infiltrate more terrorists into the Indian Territory." "To support this infiltration, Pakistan Army is doing ceasefire violations along LoC," Lt Gen KJS Dhillon added.
New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Security personnel conducted flag-march in Babarpur, Johripur areas in North-East Delhi. Normalcy is gradually returning in the region with heavy police presence. The region saw brutal violence since February 23, claiming 20 lives. National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval has been given charge to review situation. Violence erupted in North-East Delhi after clashes broke out between anti and pro CAA groups. Several shops have been set ablaze and cases of stone-pelting and arson took place.

New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Situation in North-East district of Delhi is in control since morning of February 26. There is heavy deployment of security forces in the violence-affected areas. Brutal violence took place on February 23, which claimed 20 lives. The injured police officials have been brought to Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation informed that entry and exit gates of all metro stations have been opened. While speaking to media in the national capital on February 26, the Medical Superintendent of Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital, Sunil Kumar Gautam spoke on northeast Delhi violence. He said, "Out of all the people that were brought to the hospital around 189 are injured and 20 are dead."
New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Normalcy has returned in North East district of Delhi informed Delhi Commissioner of Police, Amulya Patnaik. He also mentioned that senior officers are keeping a close eye on the situation. "Normalcy has returned in North East district to a large extent, senior officers are on rounds, extra forces have been given and lot of confidence building measures are being taken. Things are being brought back to normal," said Amulya Patnaik.

Many Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders made inciting comments creating an atmosphere of fear and hatred. Centre and Delhi Government deliberately, did not take any action in last 72 hours, which resulted in death of more than 20 people, including a head constable, and hundreds are in hospital, many with gunshot injuries. Violence continues unabated on the streets of North East Delhi." "The Centre and the Union Home Minister is responsible for the present situation in Delhi. The Union Home Minister should resign," she added.
Bundi (Rajasthan), Feb 26 (ANI): A bus fell into a river near a village on Kota Lalsot Mega Highway in Rajasthan's Bundi. Several people are feared dead and rescue operation is underway. More details are awaited.
Srinagar (J and K), Feb 26 (ANI): Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria landed in Srinagar after flying MiG-21 of 51 Squadron Commanding Officer Group Captain Nazeer with two each Mirage-2000 and Sukhoi-30MKI at Srinagar airbase. It was done to mark the first anniversary of the Balakot airstrikes. This is the same unit that was activated following the Balakot airstrikes last year and Wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman was a part of it. RKS Bhadauria will also address a seminar titled 'Indian Air Force: No war, no peace' at the DRDO Bhawan on February 26.
Betul (Madhya Pradesh), Feb 26 (ANI): A class 8th student attempted suicide on February 25 allegedly after she was raped by three men. She set herself ablaze by pouring kerosene. Victim's condition is critical and she is under treatment at a hospital. ASP Betul, Shraddha Joshi said, "In dying declaration, the girl named three offenders. 2 accused have been arrested. Police is looking for the third accused."
Karauli (Rajasthan), Feb 26 (ANI): Several miscreants allegedly thrashed the toll staff near Jamalpur village in Rajasthan's Karauli on Feb 23. Cabin of toll booth was also vandalized during the fight. The horrific video was captured on CCTV camera. At least two toll workers were injured. The injured were rushed to the hospital.
New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): While board exams centres remained closed in Northeast Delhi after CBSE postponement due to tensed situation, 'well-prepared' students of class 10th appeared for exam in South Delhi on February 26. Section 144 has been imposed in Northeast Delhi following clashes between groups over CAA. "I am well-prepared for my English exam today. I hope it goes well," said a student. Speaking about the situation in Northeast Delhi a parent said, "The situation is extremely bad, students are mainly facing problems as they put efforts whole year for this day."
Samba (J and K), Feb 26 (ANI): In a horrific incident, an onion laden truck turned turtle after colliding with a car in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba on Feb 23. Air bags of the hatchback opened on time, saving life of driver. Incident was captured on CCTV camera. The drivers of both the vehicles escaped with minor injuries. A case has been registered. Further investigation is underway.

He said, "In the capital city of India, since last 2-days there is violence and police is a silent spectator while such things were happening." "I think there is some kind of a model like 2002 Gujarat in Delhi. Whether Union Home Minister Amit Shah has given any order not to take any action the question arises here. If he will not act then police cannot control anything," Nawab Malik added. "The situation is not under control due to some people in the government which is very serious," Maharashtra Minister further stated.
New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Equity benchmark indices extended their decline for the fourth consecutive session during early hours on Wednesday after massive sell-offs in global markets amid concerns over coronavirus cases spreading beyond China. The BSE S and P Sensex was down by 261 points or 0.65 per cent to 40,020 while the Nifty 50 tumbled by 81 points at 11,717. All sectoral indices at the National Stock Exchange were in the negative terrain with Nifty metal down by 1.32 per cent, auto by 1.14 per cent, realty by 1.02 per cent and IT by 0.94 per cent. Among stocks, Hindalco dipped by 2.3 per cent at Rs 170.35 per share while Tata Steel lost by 1.6 per cent to Rs 414.35. Sun Pharma and Cipla were down by 2.4 per cent and 2.1 per cent respectively. Tata Motors, Eicher Motors, Bharti Infratel, Wipro and GAIL traded with a negative bias. Hindustan Lever, Britannia, Dr Reddy's, Asian Paints and Power Grid Corporation were marginal gainers.
