Dibrugarh (Assam), Jan 09 (ANI): Ahead of the 'Khelo India' Games in Guwahati, a 12-year-old archer, Shivangini Gohain, has met with an accident while practicing for the event in on Jan 08. She has been referred to AIIMS Delhi for further treatment. Speaking on the matter, Doctor V Aggarwal said, "She was injured while practicing, the arrow pierced inside her neck. She has been referred to AIIMS Delhi for further treatment".
New Delhi, Jan 09 (ANI): The students of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) held a protest march towards Rashtrapati Bhavan in the national capital on January 09. Many of the protestors were detained near Ambedkar Bhawan by the police. They started their demonstration from Mandi House area of Delhi. Students are demanding removal of JNU Vice Chancellor Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar following January 05 violence. Large numbers of students have participated in the protest. Security forces are deployed in big numbers in order to maintain the law and order situation. Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union (JNUSU) president Aishe Ghosh and other students, teachers were allegedly attacked by masked goons at university campus on January 05.
Srinagar, Jan 09 (ANI): The People's Democratic Party has expelled eight party leaders who met members of a foreign delegation in Srinagar. The party said these leaders are against the core beliefs of the party."Party leadership Dilawar Mir, Rafi Ahmed Mir, Zaffar Iqbal Manhas, Ch Qamar Hussain, Raja Manzoor, Javaid Beigh, Ab Majeed Padroo and Ab Rahim from basic membership of the party who has been part of the parleys," said PDP leader. PDP leader also said that certain party leaders have been part of parleys which go against the interests of the state, official position and core beliefs of the party.
Srinagar, Jan 09 (ANI): After meeting foreign envoys, former Jammu and Kashmir minister Ghulam Hasan Mir said that people are living in fear in the region after abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019. Minister said, "People are living in fear because they feel that their lands will be grabbed, jobs opportunities are going. India has to show concern for these fears among the masses." "There was not a bullet shot, there was no killing. Credit should go to people as well, they didn't go for violence. Now onus is on Central government to prove that Article 370 was barrier for development," Ghulam Hasan Mir further added.

Participating teams are from Japan and 31 foreign countries. Robot fighting rule is similar to actual sumo rule. The signal of the referee's start is the same as sumo. The size of the robot should be under 20 cm, and no more than 3000 gram. There is a strong magnet on the underside of the robot to prevent it from flying. While speaking to ANI in Bhopal, the spokesperson of Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee Narendra Saluja said, "Deepika Padukone starrer film 'Chaapaak' is based on women acid attack survivors. This film depicts the self-confidence, struggle and strength of those survivors." New Delhi, Jan 09 (ANI): Bulls regained control on the D-Street amid softening crude oil prices on Thursday following optimism in global markets after US President Donald Trump's comments on the Iran conflict eased worries and improved risk appetite. The BSE S-P Sensex closed 634 points or 1.55 per cent higher at 41,451 while the Nifty 50 moved up by 188 points at 12,214. Except for Nifty IT, all sectoral indices at the National Stock Exchange were in the green with Nifty realty ticking up by 2.73 per cent, auto by 2.68 per cent, PSU bank by 2.41 per cent and metal by 1.43 per cent. The cooling off of oil prices lifted market sentiments as India imports more than 85 per cent of its requirement. The international benchmark Brent crude futures fell by 4.1 per cent amid volatility in the previous session and traded around 65 dollars a barrel.
New Delhi, Jan 09 (ANI): Lawyer Rishi Kapoor told ANI that he has filed an application in Delhi's Patiala House Court seeking permission to meet Nirbhaya case convicts to motivate them to donate their organs. While speaking to ANI, Kapoor said, "On behalf of NGO Raco, I have moved application in Delhi's Patiala House Court seeking permission to meet Nirbhaya case convicts to motivate them to donate their organs. On Dec 16, 2019, we made representation before jail authorities who asked us to take orders from court. The application is pending." Patiala House Court has issued death warrants against all four convicts in 2012 Nirbhaya gang-rape case. The execution of convicts will be held on January 22 at 7 am.

The newly inducted trainees were given inputs of Police investigation.
