New Delhi, Dec 11 (ANI): Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram said that if Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 is passed in Parliament's upper house, it will be challenged in the Supreme Court. Speaking to ANI, Chidambaram said, "It's a sad day that elected Parliamentarians are being asked to do something unconstitutional. If the executive is complicit, and the parliament collaborate with executive and does something completely unconstitutional, the game will shift to the judiciary. I am absolutely certain that the judges of Supreme Court will strike it down." Earlier the Congress leader said in Rajya Sabha that the central government is ramming through CAB to advance its Hindutva agenda.
Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Dec 11 (ANI): Kids celebrated Christmas at a school in Chennai on Dec 11. Few of them dressed up as Santa Claus as per the Christmas theme. Kids also set up the whole scenario of birth of Jesus Christ during the celebration. They even sang carol during the event. Little kids singing and dancing was one of the major highlights of the celebration. Christmas falls on December 25 every year to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Condemning the rape incidents, the ace boxer said that women should learn some sports like karate or boxing so that they can protect themselves.
Jaipur (Rajasthan), Dec 11 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot along with other Congress leaders staged protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 in Jaipur on December 11. While speaking to media persons, Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot said, "Citizenship Amendment Bill is against the Constitution. Many MPs are against that Bill and they are telling that the bill will not pass the legal scrutiny. Congress party doesn't support that Bill in the name of religious."
New Delhi, Dec 11 (ANI): Home Minister Amit Shah in Rajya Sabha said, "There has been an almost 20% decline in population of religious minorities in both Pakistan and present day Bangladesh. Either they were killed or they fled to India for shelter." He was speaking on Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2019. The CAB 2019, which seeks to give citizenship to Non-Muslim immigrants from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh, was passed in Lok Sabha and it has been tabled in Rajya Sabha today.
Guwahati (Assam), Dec 11 (ANI): Guwahati witnessed a massive protest over the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill on December 11. Protestors raised slogans against the Bill and held placards. To disperse the protestors, police used tear gas and also detained several of them. Citizenship (Amendment) Bill seeks to give citizenship to non-Muslim immigrants who were persecuted in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. CAB has been tabled in Rajya Sabha today.

Bengaluru, Dec 11 (ANI): Sale of onions has increased in Bengaluru after the prices came down on December 11. Previously, onions were being sold for Rupees 140 to Rupees 200. The rate has come down to Rupees 60 to Rupees 100. Decrease in cost has come as a relief for buyers. Speaking to ANI, a seller said, "Onion prices have decreased. Now, people are purchasing it in larger quantity."

Patna (Bihar), Dec 11 (ANI): Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav held protest against Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019. Tejashwi Yadav condemned CAB calling it 'anti-humanity'. He said, "We hold that this law will break the country. This act is against the Constitution. All the decisions by NDA government have been flopped and harmed the country." Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 was passed in Lok Sabha on December 09. The bill will be tabled in Rajya Sabha today. Anti-CAB protest is being held in several parts of the country.
New Delhi, Dec 11 (ANI): While speaking to ANI on Article 370 revocation, Maldives Foreign Affairs Minister, Abdulla Shahid said, "Indian Constitution can be amended by Indian people and Parliament. It is not for neighbouring countries to interfere. It is an internal affair." On being asked on Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019, he said, "India's Parliament is an elected Parliament, it is for the members of the Parliament to take a decision. It is not for us to comment on it. Let the Parliament do it."
Sheohar (Bihar), Dec 11 (ANI): A suspicious eagle bird was found in Bihar's Sheohar on December 10. A camera, solar plate and many other strange things were found on the body of the eagle. The locals saw the eagle and later handed it over to the police. Police investigation is on in the matter.
Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh), Dec 11 (ANI): A man was beaten up by a woman constable for allegedly harassing the school girls in UP's Kanpur. The video has gone viral and the woman constable was seen beating him for 22 times in almost 30 seconds. Speaking on the matter, a police official said, "Anti-Romeo Squad got the information that a man is allegedly harassing some school girls. So, the team immediately took the action against him. We arrested the accused and put him in judicial custody. We want to give message to all the anti-social elements that respect the women."
