New Delhi, Nov 23 (ANI): Union Minister for Human Resource Development (HRD) Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank attended the 5th Australia-India Education Council (AIEC) meeting in Delhi on November 22. He also met Australia's Education Minister Dan Tehan at the event. Both the countries in 2010 had signed a Joint Ministerial Statement to continue to expand collaboration in education, training and research. To support this expansion, both Governments agreed to the establishment of the AIEC.
Moradabad (UP), Nov 23 (ANI): Samajwadi Party leader Haji Ikram Qureshi was seen smoking inside the hospital premises in Moradabad on November 22. He went to the hospital to distribute fruits to the patients on the occasion of birthday of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav. While speaking to media persons, he defended the incident and said he was not smoking inside the hospital premises, but at a park near the hospital.
Dehradun (Uttarakhand), Nov 23 (ANI): Uttarakhand Cheif Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the three-day 'Hot Air Balloon Festival-2019' in Dehradun on November 22. The festival aims to promote tourism in the state through adventure and aviation-based activities. Speaking after the inauguration, Rawat told ANI that the hot air balloon is a new avenue for Uttarakhand where tourists flock generally to visit Jim Corbett National Park and high altitudes in the state or bathing in Ganga.
New Delhi, Nov 23 (ANI): Scientists at Scripps Research have come up with an unexpected finding of a protein that is highly expressed in fat tissue. The study has opened the door to critical new understandings about obesity, metabolism and potentially other diseases. The results of the study were published in the Journal Nature. The signalling protein, known as PGRMC2, had not been extensively studied in the past. Short for "progesterone receptor membrane component 2," it had been detected in the uterus, liver and several areas of the body. The team built on their recent discovery that PGRMC2 binds to and releases an essential molecule called heme. Recently in the spotlight for its role in providing flavour to the plant-based Impossible Burger, heme holds a much more significant role in the body.
New Delhi, Nov 23 (ANI): Twitter has finally fixed a major issue with its two-factor authentication (2FA) security settings. In an official tweet, the company wrote that Twitter will now allow users to remove their phone number from their 2FA settings. Users can also enrol in 2FA without a phone number, Mashable noted. Twitter's 2FA had been criticised because it required users to opt into SMS-based codes, which puts security at risk. Recently, the company also admitted to inadvertently using people's 2FA phone numbers for ad targeting.

Kalaburagi (Karnataka) 22 Nov (ANI): In a major thrust to boost air connectivity, Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa inaugurated the first-ever airport in Kalaburagi today. Kalaburagi Airport is 13.8km away from Kalaburagi City which will pave way for direct connectivity of North Karnataka with the state headquarters and other commercial centres. The airport is operational and a Star Air direct flight from Bengaluru landed at the aerodrome during the inauguration. AAI Chairman Arvind Singh, along with the Secretary to Minister of Civil Aviation Pradeep Singh Khorola were present during the inaugural ceremony. It is worth noting that, the Star Air Kalaburagi-Bengaluru flight, which operates thrice-a-week, is the first service from the new airport.
