YouTubers land in lock up as prank for scaring people goes wrong

Bengaluru, Nov 13 (ANI): 7 YouTubers arrested for dressing as ghosts and scaring unsuspecting commuters in Bengaluru. YouTubers typically wore white robe and a wig with long hair that covered their face. They tried to harass a person who was sleeping outside the shop. DCP of North Bengaluru S Kumar said, "The youths were forcefully stopping and scaring the passersby, they were arrested under bailable sections and given bail in the police station itself."

Odisha's oldest cultural festival 'Baliyatra' begins

Cuttack (Odisha), Nov 13 (ANI): On the auspicious occasion of Kartika Purnima, the oldest cultural and business trade fair 'Baliyatra' of Odisha began in Cuttack on November 12. State Assembly Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro inaugurated the festival. Indonesia Ambassador to India Sidhato Reza Suryodipuro also joined the inaugural function. The festival will continue till November 19. It is being held at the Baliyatra grounds on the bank of river Mahanadi. Around 1,000 makeshift stalls have come up for this year's festival. 'Baliyatra' is held every year to celebrate glorious maritime history of Odisha. The festival attracts thousands of visitors every year.

Fraud case registered in Home Guard deployment: Noida SSP

Noida (UP), Nov 13 (ANI): Noida Police registered a case in connection of fraud in deployment of Home Guard Jawans and salary withdrawal. "Records of 7 police station limits for May-June were checked. It was found that 50% of the salary drawn for the 2 months was done on basis of fake records. Report was sent to state govt. A 3-member probe committee has been formed. Action will be taken based on findings," said SSP Noida Vaibhav Krishna.

AQI getting worse in Delhi, again goes 'severe'

New Delhi, Nov 13 (ANI): The condition of air quality in the national capital is getting worse day by day. According to the government's air quality monitor, System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), PM 10 is 497 and PM 2.5 reached 500 at Safdarjung Area. As the result, a thick layer of smog covered the Africa Avenue road and Vasant Vihar area in National Capital. Not just national capital Delhi, but other areas are also chocking under the bad air quality conditions, including Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida and Haryana's Faridabad.

President's rule imposed in Maharashtra amid power struggle

New Delhi, Nov 12 (ANI): Amid the political tussle in Maharashtra, President's rule has been imposed in the state on November 12 after the recommendation of Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari for the same. The decision came at a time when Congress and NCP, which on November 11 received Koshyari's invitation for government formation, were discussing to chart out a plan to support the Shiv Sena in the state. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena has also knocked the doors of the Supreme Court against Koshyari's refusal to grant the party more time for government formation in the Maharashtra.

New Delhi, Nov 12 (ANI): National capital seems to continue reeling with pollution as air quality slumps to 'very poor' and 'severe' levels while smog took over, forcing people to use masks. Speaking to ANI, Dr Manoj Kumar, Director of Department of Cardiology stated that air pollution increases the level of risks for patients suffering from heart diseases. "Vehicular emission is responsible for 40% of pollution and it should be reduced, secondly the production of dust from industries, constructions should be minimised to control the pollution," he said.
