WhatsApp snooping: Priyanka Gandhi's phone was also hacked, says Congress

New Delhi, Nov 03 (ANI): Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala on November 3 held a press conference in the national capital. Even as air quality dips in national capital, Punjab farmers continue to burn stubble

Ludhiana (Punjab), Nov 03 (ANI): Farmers in Punjab continued to burn stubble even as the air quality in the national capital and its adjoining areas dipped to 'Hazardous' category on Sunday. According to the Punjab Remote Sensing Centre (PRSC), incidents of straw burning have increased this year. The district administration on November 2 had penalised 133 farmers for resorting to stubble burning with the minimum fine of Rs 2,500. Earlier today, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal sought the Central government's assistance to combat air pollution caused by stubble burning in neighbouring states.

DPCC stages protest against Kejriwal-led govt in Delhi

New Delhi, Nov 03 (ANI): Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) leaders staged a protest against Delhi government over the ongoing air pollution row. Congress leaders like Ajay Maken and Arvinder Singh Lovely among others participated in the protest. The national capital and NCR's pollution levels shot up again with the air quality bordering 'severe plus' category at several places. Recently, Delhi CM Kejriwal blamed Haryana and Punjab governments for worsening the air quality of Delhi-NCR.

Additional Sessions Judge inspects Tis Hazari Court after Delhi Police-lawyers clash

New Delhi, Nov 03 (ANI): Additional Sessions Judge Pinki on Sunday inspected the Tis Hazari Court in Delhi where violent clashes had broke out between Delhi Police and lawyers over parking issue. At least 20 police officials and several lawyers were injured in the scuffle in which public properties including police vans were damaged. The 'Lok Adalat' scheduled for today in court has been cancelled. Bar Council of India Chairman Manan Kumar Mishra accused the police officials of starting the scuffle and said it was a brutal action by forces against lawyers.

Thick layer of smog covers NCR, AQI under 'severe'category

Ghaziabad/ Noida (Uttar Pradesh)/ Nov 03 (ANI): The air quality of National Capital Region (NCR) took a hit due to a combination of stubble burning, firecracker emissions and unfavourable meteorological conditions in past few weeks. A thick layer of smog continued to cover the sky in the NCR region on November 03. A public health emergency has been declared in the Delhi-NCR region due to rising pollution. Residents of Ghaziabad have complained of a spike in respiratory problems, allergies and other health issues. According to the National Air Quality Index (NAQI) data, major pollutants in Noida are PM 2.5 at 486 and PM 10 at 459 both in 'severe' category. On November 01, the Supreme Court-mandated Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority (EPCA) declared public health emergency due to rising air pollution levels. Higher value of AQI indicates greater level of air pollution and health concern.

2 dead after temple's wall collapses in Bihar's Samastipur
