Patna (Bihar), July 19 (ANI): While addressing a public meeting in Patna Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi appreciated film 'Super 30' and said, "I have been abused for watching movie 'Super 30'. Today also an English channel was showing 'when state is flooded, Deputy Chief Minister is watching a film'. Several works can be done at one time, we are helping flood-affected people and doing all the arrangements."

Randeep Surjewala lashes out at CM Yogi after police detain Priyanka Gandhi

New Delhi, July 19 (ANI): Congress' chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala lashed out at Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath over detainment of Priyanka Gandhi in Chunar. Randeep Surjewala said that the Government has attempted to crush democracy which is highly condemnable. Earlier in the day, Priyanka was detained by Uttar Pradesh Police in Varanasi's Narayanpur, neighbouring the Mirzapur border, where she was stopped on her way to Sonbhadra to meet the relatives of persons killed in land dispute violence.

3 workers die in septic tank in UP's Hapur

Hapur (UP), July 19 (ANI): Three workers lost their lives while cleaning septic tank in Uttar Pradesh's Hapur District. The incident took place at a textile factory. According to local workers the factory was running illegally in the district. The factory allegedly lacked proper certification. Police said, "We will recommend magistrate inquiry and will asks to take action against illegal factories running in the state."

Amarnath Yatra: Muslim community organises special langar service for pilgrims

Jammu (JandK), July 19 (ANI): "Mazhab nahin sikhata aapas men bair rakhna" these lines sum up recent example of communal harmony in Jammu during ongoing Amarnath Yatra. Muslim community organised a special langar service for Amarnath pilgrims in Jammu today. Waffa foundation a local NGO organised a langar service for Amarnath devotees. The pilgrims were welcomed with flowers and also treated with special Kheer. The pilgrims said that they are very happy as they were welcomed by Muslim brothers in Jammu. While speaking to ANI on this matter, the organiser of Waffa foundation Parvez Waffa said, "In India, our constitution has given equal rights to every religion. People who are doing mob lynching we have to stop them and through our langar service we want to spread communal harmony in the country".

Muzaffarpur (Bihar), July 19 (ANI): As flood situations worsen in Bihar, A policeman traveled with residents on a wooden boat to cross a flooded locality near the Ahiyapur police station at Muzaffarpur district. Flash floods caused by heavy rains in catchment areas of Nepal have ravaged a dozen districts of Bihar so far. Roads damaged due to flood in Assam

Morigaon (Assam), July 19 (ANI): Roads damaged in Bhuragaon of Morigaon district due to flood in the area following heavy rainfall. Assam Disaster Management Authority (ADMA) stated that Total 4,128 number of villages of 28 districts have been affected in flood. Approximately 53,52,107 people have been affected. NDRF and SDRF teams have been pressed into service in the flood affected areas for rescue operations.
