New Delhi, June 20 (ANI): While addressing a press conference in the national capital today, Official Spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Raveesh Kumar spoke on United States (US) Secretary of State Mike Pompeo visit to India from June 25-27. He said, "It will be first high-level engagement with United States after elections in India. During his visit, he will hold talks with the External Affairs Minister (EAM) and he will also call on other dignitaries in the Government of India."

Watch: Two-year-old kid attacked by stray dogs in UP's Mathura

Mathura (Uttar Pradesh), Jun 20 (ANI): Although a dog is believed to be a man's best friend, but in UP's Mathura, a pack of wild canines attacked a two and a half-year-old child outside the kid's house in the Shiv Bala Nath Nagar area. The incident has been captured in the CCTV. The kid was playing outside his house when 5-6 stray dogs surrounded him and bit him at several places on his body. Some labourers who were near the spot of incident heard the kid crying and came to his rescue. The kid was immediately admitted to a nearby hospital where he survived the injuries. The victim's father, Amit Mittal, told ANI that his locality is facing major issue of stray dogs and even 8-9 years kids also avoid stepping out of the house alone due to the terror created by the wild canines. Mittal also complained of repeated negligence by local administration to get rid of the stray dogs. MEA slams Pak media for claiming India is interested in holding talks

Indian army renames Army Goodwill School after valiant soldier in J-K

Anantnag (J-K), Jun 20 (ANI): Indian Army renamed Army Goodwill School (AGS) as 'Shaheed Lance Naik Nazir Ahmed Wani, Ashok Chakra, Sena Medal, Army Goodwill School'. A 38-year-old soldier lost his life in a counter-terror operation against six terrorists in Hirapur village in Kashmir. Lance Naik Nazir Ahmad Wani succumbed to his wounds after being hit multiple times including his head. Wani was awarded Ashok Chakra for his role in the operation. He thus became the first person in the Valley to be awarded the highest peace time gallantry award of the country.

15 dead, 25 injured as bus falls into deep gorge in HP's Kullu

Kullu (Himachal Pradesh), Jun 20 (ANI): At least 15 people died after a private bus fell into a deep gorge near Banjar area of Kullu district in Himachal Pradesh. Around 25 people were injured. 142 Encephalitis patients discharged from SKMCH: Superintendent Sunil Shahi

Muzaffarpur (Bihar), Jun 20 (ANI): While speaking to ANI, Superintendent of Sri Krishna Medical College (SKMCH) Dr Sunil Shahi on AES cases said, "142 patients have been discharged from this hospital. Minimum 35 will be discharged today. In total 398 children have been admitted to the hospital. Today, two children died due to the syndrome." Earlier today former Member of Parliament Sharad Yadav visited the hospital where several children died due to AES in Bihar's Muzaffarpur on Thursday. Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) is a viral disease that causes flu like symptoms such as high fever, and headache and in extreme cases can lead to coma, brain dysfunction.
